I don't really like the idea of investing 300+ points in one unit... even 200+ is a stretch for me...
I like Catalina - good attack and something like 5 damage...

Trust me.. I am not goign to argue for investing a lot of points in a single unit.. I really really don't like putting all my eggs in one basket.. having a single bad dice roll can really hurt the whole game if 1/2 to 2/3 your force sits there damaging itself during a critical turn (crit miss)

The persuader can be tough.. It's heat dial is nasty though!

If you hit with flamers or an energy weapon... it usually goes BOOOM! I would recommend a couple pieces of arty to keep it moving It will usually explode all on its own

I agree. And really heating up opposing mechs of any kind is the key to beating them down.

The persuader is particularly vulnerable to that... Pushing a persuader around is the easiest way to beat it!
