I would TTL you to death. I would never give you a shot on my Mechs untill peacemaker had 3 damage. I would pog peacemaker and the Soli. Also I would go for a shot on the peacemaker first if you allow it. The reason I take two lights in my build is to block LOS to Peacemaker. And since Peacemaker can run 16', and isn't worried about entering Alpha's or the Phx Hwk's LoF, I don't see how you can drop your TTLs in a safe location, where my Mechs wouldn't be able to take them out. I wouldn't mind blowing Peacemaker's Coolant Pod, if it meant pushing and AOing to nail a TTL for 5 damage.

Well then you are assuming you pulled of your Barrens or you wish to shoot at my TTL's who have 22 inch range from up close. I assure you I would only drop them behind blocking.
I always bring an H building 2x long blocking and 1 small piece of water.
And 2x 12 IT stand a decent chance of hitting your mjlonir or Soli.
In any case I played that match (alpha vs peacemaker) already, but I am happy to play it again come august :-p

Well then you are assuming you pulled of your Barrens or you wish to shoot at my TTL's who have 22 inch range from up close. I assure you I would only drop them behind blocking. Naturally! Let's see . . . 23 from Peacemaker, +1 pilot, +2 Evade, + 1 AO = 27? So 15 or higher with IT? Each attack has a 23.5% chance of hitting. Trying it twice will help . . . but those are still less than 1/4 odds of each attack hitting. The TTLs are definitely the biggest threat from your army. They will be a pain, absolutely. But I believe they can be overcome. I am still thinking if this army really needs two light Mechs. To my mind, all artillery - not just TTLs - are a big threat to Peacemaker. So maybe I need to sacrifice one light for more basers?

With 2 lights you can block LOS. With only 1 this is hard todo.
I have seen Peacemaker played with Br Solis, RotS Nyxes. WH Mjolnirs. I playes some variations myself.
But I see plenty of TTL's and whence the big guy goes down it is ussualy a lost match.
You might consider some of the evade vixens as a new partnership.
So far the WH Mjolnir or/and the WH Vixen seem to be the better choices.
But to me the peacemaker is to expensive for its use and you have only 1 barrens. And I still can attack your mechs in hand to hand and hit em all i need to do is keep the peacemaker occupied.
But dont worry about me, I am only 1 player across the big pond.

But I see plenty of TTL's and whence the big guy goes down it is ussualy a lost match. Yep, that's the biggest problem with this build. I also have a hard time with the fairly-low attack values. There are ways to increase that . . . but it's hard to fit it all into 600 points. Yeah, the WS Vixens rock! The BR ones have agility, which would prevent the charge/DFA/close combat weakness of the Mjolnir and Soli. But you can play more than just Barrens to get at those TTLs - Tornado removes blocking, Caverns changes blocking, etc. Not many other players can brag about having attended every MW Worlds championship for four years running, can they? Out of curiosity, how many have made it every year?

Nope, Santiago a spaniard did it 3 times he also won fellowship.
Corle, Dean, Milamber, Brinxter, BAW and a lot of others are on 2 times.
Although i did make top 10 all the times i only maade top 8 1 time. I always felt I could do better.
But I played in the 300, 450 and now the 600 and possibly the sollaris area.
The best players for me in the past Corle and at the moment Milamber.
I have tremendous respect for BAW, Zqueb, Marc, MT, Ian and many other guts I have met and forgot to mention.
But there are many many good players out there. Best places to meet them is Nationals and Worlds.
I have the luck that some of them like Ian and Brinxter are willing to travel to play me.

Without wishing to re-ignite the Peacemaker versus Alpha debate, is there any merit in looking at a cheaper piece with PD to replace the Peacemaker?
If arty is an acknowledged threat, you can bring a CAVERNS card and perhaps a HL Kelswa in a blue/black armoured transport?
Less points and one that can get you into the centre of the board without falling foul of POGs.
I'll have to go home and look at Battle Planner to see which pieces have PD.
The Kelswa isn't going to reap the damage of a Peacemaker, but neither is it a game-loosing number of points if it gets taken out.

There is PD gear for meds but no medium with intersting defense.
And the Highl PD drop but I am not a big fan of that one.
I do belief I have perfected a peacemaker variant myself but am hesistamt to post it anyware.

Best DV I can get on a balistic-equipped medium is 21. The list is pretty short (12 pieces) and most of these are second or even third rate pieces.
Of interest, one of them is the Black Blade which is easily the pick of the bunch. There is also the ROTS Violator with evade, rapid strike and heavy armour and the Fireheart S/S which also has heavy armour.
With a base of 21 to work from, 25 will be the limit with evade and a +2 def pilot. Still, a cut-price version with the ability to unleash Kuro Ha if the PD thing doesn't work.

@ brinxter and tjpandv: I really like the "synergy" of the HK/HL SA with Yen Lo Wang and Kuro Ha, but the relatively low starting attack values still bother me. How easy was it to hit in practice from your experience? On paper, it looks like you have formation possibilities with infantry, but that can be tricky to set up. It seems i missed this one If i would play such an army, i would probably put BAP on Kuro Ha and Myomer on the shieldturion. Its a funny army that can kill certain things with frightening speed, but also has serious trouble against some others (or if it gets hit by the wrong PC) And low ish attack values dont really bother it, just put Kuro Ha into harms way for a round and watch that attack go go go! (or indeed try to base it with a bunch of HK atvs and a CC formation) Its powerfull, and tricky to beat.
