Just wondered what you thought about the merits of Lizzie Willick in her Mad Cat versus LE Julz?
Lizzie in her ride together with IT comes out at 348 points.
For this you get:
12IT
19 inch assault range
DV of 23 with heavy armour
Downside is that you need a 4-6 roll in your command phase to ignore blocking terrain for LOF.
Good news is that if you don't make the roll, you haven't committed yourself to an attack. If you do make the roll, you can then choose to use energy or ballistic.
LE Julz is probably the most underpointed Mech in existence but she needs a shooter to deal the damage.
LE Julz and Jack come in at 182 points. If it weren't for the special ability, you basically end up with a decent mech with a sub-par AV but decent DV and agility to boot.
Once she's within 6 inches of blocking, her "partner" then gets a guaranteed shot but has to use ballistic to do this.
A couple of "partners" might be Alpha or the WH Thor. Aplha with De Jesus will get you:

Use the Thor and the AV drops to 11IT but the DV is up to 22 with hardened armour.
Both of these packages come in at around the 260-280 points mark making the Julz + shooter combo a hefty (but V potent) 460 points.
Question here is, is the saving of 100 points on Lizzie worth the fact that you have a). put all of your eggs in 1 basket and b). have to gamble on getting the shot away through blocking?
I'm in 2 minds about it and really looked at Lizzie as an alternate to Julz but one that allows you to play a more balanced force with plenty of support.
