I'm giving this army its own thread.
I played it again twice last night to good effect (5/0 now). I still haven't run it against anything with wells, so I still need to test it in that department. I'm getting a bit more comfortable with what to spawn and when. I think there are still changes to be made, but I'm not entirely sure what they are yet. For my money, there is not enough control of opponent's pieces, but I'm not sure that I can fit anything in there. I might pull a charm for a siren, corpsebuild it to aspect the bloodhawk and call it later with baxar to negate the high aspect cost of the siren.
Baxar's Blades CCS x2 PTC x2 Worms Charm x2 Butcher x2 Miller x2 Barag Hunter Killer Beastial sil. (Mire is needed in this build I think) Baxar Drake

I'm vaguely thinking of the following changes. Thoughts?
Baxar's Blades CCS x2 PTC HBT Worms Charm Siren Butcher lockdown girl (to help in well games) Miller x2 Barag Hunter Killer Sludger Baxar Drake
For those keeping track, that's
-1
PTC Charm Butcher Beastial sil.
+1 HBT Siren Lockjaw Sludger

Yeah -- I'm looking for a good way to combat the luck factor of wells. Lockdown seems like it would be an ok, but not great way to keep a guy in there after luring if I was player 2 and insure that d**n crypt worm (or whatever) would die.
The army's curve is high, so the temple gets added.
Is sludger actually better than beastial? I don't know. I like that I can double PTC the BS into a scoring cell and keep myself safe if I need to -- at least for a turn. If I add HBT, it makes sense to drop a castle instead of running 3 locations. I suppose I could keep all 3 and drop butcher.
Sludger is not great against wells as it's easily pushed around by movement guys. He's a good answer to temple, but not a great answer to well IMO.
Thoughts on those pieces? Two locations or three? Hate the lockjaw?

your right on the sludger, its not a great answer to well, but it seems to be the best answer we have so far if you lose the init, and if you run it half to all the locations you play will probably get shut off. Also the lockjaw would be better if it wasn't triple madness. Interestingly enough i'm also working on a build that uses a single HBT.

Hmm.. I was going from memory on the lockjaw. I vaguely remembered her being a 3/4/somthing with a 7MM cost. After reading your post I went back and actually looked at the piece.
a 2/4/7 for 8MMM isn't great. At 9, I could justify splashing her for her ability, especially with temple in tow. At 11, I'm not so sure. Maybe if I kept the second butcher and called her into play. but that's a lot of steps. Eh.. Merely eh. She'll probably go.
Also with the temple, the sludger will likely be used against me. I'll probably go for the beast. To negate movement effects.
Post your new build pip!

when zxueb first used it I had to sit down for a while to figure that out my self, Claw Clan Scout. Um. Er. Hmm. Yep. You warned me. That sounds like a challenge Next time I see ya on vassel we'll have to duel it out. I would have been on the other day, but I was building a 600 point mech army to play inbetween rounds of dreamblade.
