With the release of blessing of kings, it seems to me that low armor guys like priests and warlocks become slightly more viable in competitive games.
Here is an all common Alliance team I'm working on:
Amon WARLOCK (8 honor) 1/3/10: 4/3/6 attack. Lifetap (if you put a damage on him, he can take the next action at -1 tick to a min of 1)
--Corruption (2: Debuff: 2 damage at 5/10. Recharge)
--Summon Succubus (2: Pet)
--Shadowburn (1: action: 4 magic attack. Readys if the guy dies)
Lorlai PRIEST (6 honor) 1/3/7: 4/3/6 attack. Crit put +1 armor or +1 resist on her. Secondary is a 3/2/3 heal
--Shadow word: pain. (2: Debuff: 2 damage at 5/10)
--Holy nova (3: Action: do 2 damage to each adjacent enemy and heal 2 damage from each adjacent ally)
--Dispel (might have a different name) (1: take off a buff/debuff/counter from a character)
Hoodoon PALADIN (6 honor) 4/2/8?: 2/1/4 attack. Crit: 4 die magic attack IIRC. Secondary: adjacent characters gain +1 armor.
--Blessing of kings: (2: buff: put +1 armor or resist counter on an ally).
--Hammer of wrath(2: attack: 5 dice. Use only against a damaged enemy)
--Cleanse (0: remove a debuff or counter from ally. Recharge)
So anyway, the idea is to have a 3/3 armor amon on turn 1 with blessing of kings and adjacency to hoodoon. Amon can come on the board, cast summon succubus for 1. on turn 2, succubus can tick up something and amon can cast a 6 die attack at something while lorlai hits it with her debuff. On 5 and 6, amon can cast corruption on two guys. the first one of those should be the same thing that Lorlai hit with her 2 damage debuff, hopefully killing it and set up the next guy for lorlai to blast or holy nova. Hoodoon may be able to clean up with magic blast or his swing. With a crit, Lorlai hits 3/3 in the first half of game opening.
The nice thing about this army is how much damage just blows through big armor (*cough* haruka *cough*) or resists. An 8 health guy (*cough* haruka *cough*) can just die at the end of 10 even if you ignore it and focus your attacks on something else.
Seems like it'll work in theory -- I still have yet to try it out on vassal.
Thoughts?
