At first glance I like Markus Kerensky in Fell Wolf. Homing Beacon plus 16 inch range sounds like a good start against the dreaded RHDM.
I didn't see any other pilot abilities that said 'must have this'. IT for mediums might be tempting, except that I had more trouble with their defense values.....
I don't see the point of the 12 inch range tanks.

12" range tanks just seem to be a little lackluster at best. I haven't gone through and studied the stats yet. I haven't even been able to find a place selling boosters yet. Tomorrow will be the day for that 16" plus homing beacon sounds really scary With Rocky Terrain there are going to need to be some serious counters to the RHDM. usually double drop can put fear into a RHDM. With Rocky terrain the Double drop becomes a lot less playable.

The WH Vixen is an absolutely mean little bugger. Especially when you consider you can put Kelly in it and don't have to pay her recruitment. 13" infiltrate (16" in) followed by a 7"+14" assault for 3 energy. I'm thinking with pulse, since RISC pulse is less reliable, though tempting.
I also like the Inferno Flamers for lights. Stick THAT on a BR Solitaire. Or a CJF Jaguar.

I might consider the 'cyclops' detachment card-the whole formation can do close combat and close combat repair! Sort of a zombie like detachment.....
And here's the problem. Invest in Wolfstrike, or pick up a Gale Force Lizzie Willick, who can shoot through walls half the time with a 12 attack and 14 inch range. This could be ever so nasty....
Elite, very funny, didn't you get a complete factory set for being the fellowship winner-which you certainly deserve?
My son and I will play some sealed booster, against my better judgement, since I think you could be in real trouble here if you don't pull a heavy or an assault mech....
Carnivores good.... NC Vixen has a 16 inch range.... Do I really NEEd any more assault mechs if I already have the Paladin, the Echo and the Green Atlas??? Have to sit down and compare click for click and point for point I suppose....

I think he gets a Factory Set and a Case of boosters There are some interesting pieces. I like the thought of One Eye. I am not sure how well he will work but it will be interesting and give people some new army paradigms.

OK, I'm recovering from a critical hit-critical miss-critical hit sequence at the Vanguard event. There, now I feel better. Does Jacob Bannson really have more to offer than Jonah Levin? Perhaps he doesn't have repair markers on his mech-can't tell from the WK site. I like Dresari-the ability to prevent a charge or close combat attack could be very useful for an assault mech. Perhaps putting Bannson to work for the Republic and putting him in the Exarch's mech....
Doesn't the Exarch have a few more armor clicks, but misses that one attack value of 11.
So, playable, but even with a 13, trying to hit a 25 decoy is only a 1/5 chance.
JF Madcat comes with Decoy, that's good gear with which to start.
Lots of questions about squadrons. Like, can you have multiples of units in a squadron? Could you omit a unit from the squadron? Do squadron members have to form a base to base chain?
How many clicks does Fireheart Spider have on his dial for Alpha strike? I couldn't find the mech on Wizkids.

Off the top of my head, he has four or five, however they're half way through his dial, so it's more of a 'for fun' Mech than a major competitor.

I agree about fireheart doesn't seem super competitive. mikeguth are we talking about Jacob Bannson or One Eye Jack? Nobody should be expected to hit a 25 decoy solo. That is what formations are for There are a couple of interesting squadron cards. I think the card that is going to change lots of things is the Rocky Terrain!

Rocky Terrain would change lots of things if tankdrop wasn't dead, dead, dead. 'Mech swarms are the way of the day.

Feh, Tank drops aren't dead. They are needed to crack RHDM. Besides, there were several at Worlds. That being said, Rocky terrain kills drops dead. I HATE it.

Got my first 6 boosters today with mixed results:
Pulled the CW Black Knight and Grey Hunter Wulfen and the Liao Stalking Spider.
The Black Knight had correct gear and pilot. The Wulfen had the right gear and pilot and dials but was on a ROTS Marauder base. The Liao piece came with the BR Violator pilot and gear.
Other than that, a couple of Liao Griffins, a CJF Mad Cat, CW Marauder and some other stuff.
The WH Carnivore looks good. 360 arc, twin targets out to 14inches and camo on top of a 20 def with heavy armour.
The Liao Vulture with hardened armour and streaks and the BR Vixen (agility and 19DV with evade) could be useful.
The CW Marauder firing 5 arm p out to 16 inches or 5 energy out to 14 is a powerful piece and reactive armour on an assault is a real bonus.
Other pieces I like are the HD Padilla - some real synergy in E camo, streaks and anti missile system.
The HD Purifiers are also good - SU infiltrate out to 18 inches, then its a 9 move with JJs, 8 inch range and 8 AV.
The CNC Kite looks OK - 17 inch move with recon and pulse for 2 out to 8 inches - could be a nice end game killer.
Well, I'm off to post my defective Wulfen off to Topps UK. I just wished I'd managed to get a Medium IT - I've heard that its actually 35 and not 32 points as listed on WK. Thats getting a bit expensive...

Rocky Terrain is the most awesome terrain card ever. I will hand those out at tournaments when Zxqueb plays just so that he always get screwed!
Now you HAVE TO PLAY MECHS!
