I was chatting to a couple of other BMs the other night about the potential to support SOLARIS as and when its released.
I wonder if WK will have a new Envoy desctription to support this game or whether it will be left to BMs to support it and run events?
If its loaded onto BMs, I've got a few issues...
I'm not a fan of SOLARIS and would probably struggle to be enthused and supportive of a game that I didn't like.
I signed up to be a BM for Mechwarrior - I see SOLARIS as a stand alone game that requires its own support.
Its a challenge to keep on top of the Mechwarrior rules, clarifications and FAQs. If I wanted to take on the responsibility of learning another set of rules, I would sign up for other game lines.
As long as I can keep my BM status and continue to run "regular" MW events every month, that's fine. If, however, I'm going to be told that I must run X number of SOLARIS events, then I would see that as an unwelcome move.
Any of you Envoys expect to see SOLARIS being added to your MW responsibilities or should it be supported by a new range of Envoys?

Since Solaris sounds like a totally different ruleset, and basically a whole new game using the same pieces, I wouldn't be surprised if WK let envoys choose: either MW, or Solaris, or both. It would be up to you.
But if Battlemasters get stuck with it, this is my advice: find a player who is interested in this game line, and get him/her to run the Solaris matches. The only reason to run events you don't like, is if the players ask for it, right? So let one of them run it.
