Alright, in celebration of AN, with CNC goodness, I have pre-designed a CNC army, which I hope to one day play.
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shishekli w/Electronic Camouflage 1 Morrigan w/Nova Cat Star Commander Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Bishop Transport Infantry[/u] 3 (elite)Thunderbird Battle Armor(In Bishop) Faction Pride/Situational Alliance[/u] None Total:[/u]449pts
Planetaries[/u] Not sure of what to use right now...
Basically, the idea is to have the Morrigan shoot first, then let "Rising Sus" take a crack at the shutdown/pushed piece. The BA are there for support if the mechs are threatened with swarm, and possibly to run behind lines to take down artillery. I hope to secure these pieces to use them one day. Perhaps Zxqueb will be generous and trade me them if he secures "extras"...

By the way, do you have any extra SW PAL suits?

Two I do not need, and for some :^^^: Thunderbird BA I would be only too happy to depart with them ...(If you cannot trade those I am sure we can work something else out...)

Zxqueb. You looking for pal suits immediately or just to have sometime in the future? I have some I could get rid of

Well, you know me. I build armies that need pieces I don't have, then go in search of those pieces. No hurry on getting any piece, ever. I'll just keep the army on ice a while!

LOL sorry. I didn't mean to barge in on your trade. I will talk to Zxqueb before I come up. (which may be spring/summer of next year) I have lots of Steel Wolves units I don't care for I probably have some to give away Maybe I need to try the BR/SW Sit alliance before the Arrow IV's retire. I can't think of too many units I would use otherwise.

Seylah! After a recent venture to my venue, I have been able (Through a bunch of trades from all the Republic, Davion, Steiner, otherwise anything NOT Nova Cat/Kurita) to secure a good number of Clan Nova Cat pieces. And in anticipation of next week's storyline, I have built a 600pt army for it.
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Elite" Nova Cat 217pts w/ Lyons Grad 16pts w/ Reactive Armor 44pts 1 "Veteran" Stalking Spider(Kurita) 146pts w/Earl Crowhurst(Recruited to Kurita) 26 + 9 =35pts w/ Pulse 37pts Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Bishop Transport(Carrying Thunderbird BA) 39pts Infantry 2 "Veteran" Thunderbird Battle Armor 21pts 1 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor 23pts 2 "Veteran" ATV Squad(Nova Cat) 14/28pts Total:597pts
Until I can secure more CNC/Kuritan pieces, I shall have to go 3pts short. I am still in debate as to which Nova Cat to use, but have decided on the "Elite" version, since it can do more damage, which I like more than TSEMP. The plan is to pulse first with the Nova Cat, then follow up with the Stalking Spider Pulse. Heat will be a factor in this game, but if the two hit, most mechs would be salvaged by such. The Reactive armor is there to negate any non-AP artillery(Hadurs are quite popular with my venue. I decided to take Earl Crowhurst over the NAIS Grad because A)+1 on speed and Defense as well as +2 attack, and B)Only seven points more, not including the recruit.
The Bishop +Thunderbird BAs are there to help the Nova Cat/Stalking SPider if one of them is not up to attacking, with the infantry having a +1 attack over both mechs with their 11 attack values. As it is a storyline, there are no planetaries.

Looks interesting an army. When is annihilation legal? Nov 9th I believe. If it was me.. I would prefer to have a better pilot in the nova cat. You have almost have of your army points there. Wouldn't you like to have the best pilot you can?

Have a new NC/HK army I want to post, may use it over the last one, if I can borrow the pieces required...
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Nova Cat(CNC) w/ Sebastian Paschke w/Decoy 1 "Veteran" Stalking Spider(HK) w/Earl Crowhurst w/Pulse Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Bishop Transport VTOL(CNC) Infantry[/u] 3 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor(CNC) Total:600pts
I just need to borrow 2 TBAs for this to work. Less support than the other, and the Nova Cat can no longer pulse for 10(Not the "Elite" one I am using in this build, but "Veteran"), but I hope to make up for it with TSEMP and a better range(Shutdown with NC, then pulse with Stalking Spider). The Thunderbirds are there for two reasons; 1)to support the mechs against enemy infantry, and 2)Pulse after a successful TSEMP, or unsuccessful TSEMP, followed by Spider. With four orders, I can use every piece once(The infantry are thought of as a formation, and therefore "one"), and can do a possible TSEMP, Pulse by Stalking Spider, followed by Pulse from the TBAs! I will use water for the storyline, to clear the field as much as possible. Now I just have to wait and see if I can borrow the two TBAs from Zxqueb...

Another new army, this time ALL Nova Cat(With the exception of a bondsman or two...). Just built it and crushed a friend's all Stiener army. Looking forward to using it this Tuesday.
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Nova Cat(CNC) w/Sebastian Paschke(BONDSMAN!) w/Decoy 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shisekli Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Bishop Transport VTOL(CnC) Infantry[/u] 3 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor 1 Salamander Battle Armor(Merc, BONDSMAN!) Total:600pts
Terrain[/u] 3 Water, 1 Blocking-
With Ice field always in effect for this storyline, placing nothing but water helps clear the field of any terrain that might otherwise get in the way of lines of sight. The single blocking is just so that if the Wendigo gets sighted by a 16" or more range target, she can hide behind it until the Nova Cat runs in and shoots at it. With only four pieces in the army(TBAs and Bishop I count as one until dropped, and I still only count the formation as a single unit, since they operate as such), the order phase will not be too much of a problem, and once the TBAs come out, I shall forget of the SBA until needed(It was point filler).
Comments or critiques?
