I still can't get me head around this card. It does seem way too good.
Steel Wolves/BR Sit Alliance
1/450: When a friendly unit is given an order, you may repair that unit of 1 damage or you may deal 1 pushing damage to that unit before or after the order is resolved. You may not repair the unit if a black repair marker or the green starting marker shows on its combat dial.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

No, it is good. Being able to repair or give pushing to anyone is great. Considering this allows you to get Alpha much better faster, and keep Persuader around longer. The simple fact for me is, IMO, Steel Wolves suck and I hate Bansons Raiders. So therefore I won't be playing it probly. But it is very good. The exploitation will be there, I'm sure of it.

I don't care for the New Dark Ages SW's.. I did dwelve into supporting bannson's for about 6 months! I Like the paradigm and with this card it is pretty awesome. This card just seems a little overwhelming to me. Lots of overwhelming armies come to mind.. I guess we will have to see how they play out! warlord1985 Congrats on your 100th post

Dude, please, I love the clans. I remember the good old days when I play Mechwarrior 2 and 3 for PC and played as Jade Falcon, Wolf, and Ghost Bear. I love the clans, honestly I do.
But lets face facts. Steel Wolves are not Clan Wolf. Even though Kerensky is hot, that cannot make up for the fact that the SW paradigm is not as good as they make it out to be.
I really tried to like the SW, I played them way back in the day. They just don't work that well. I don't like them. But thats just my opinion.

Um... yeah. Anytime you get better after taking damage, you are asking for an @ss whooping. What faction do you play again? Oh, right. Kurita.

Sorry the Kuritans suck the big one. Fixed. Yes, yes. The ONLY way to take damage is to be attacked. I mean, there is nothing like faction pride or friendly artillery or Situationals that do that, noooooo....

I really really don't like the Steels WOlves Paradigm. The only units of theirs I would dare use is the Artillery.. I like that where a Push makes you better.. Well there are a couple of mechs that are good infantry killers but overall I am not at all impressed with the paradim. The worst is that it is really hard to get put on your sweet spot and if you take 1 hit after being on your sweet spot your dial is shorter than a BR dial

We all know stat fer stat Kurita is always better on there starting clicks. They just get more accurate when they take damage. It's not like they have a sweet spot. Just think of them effective down the entire dial and they deprive VC-2 from the enemy.

I don't know Zxqueb I tend to agree with X-Sythe.. Having the low defense/low attack for the first couple of round is just not that good. if you get a big unit that can hit it.. The other option is dancing around for a couple of rounds trying to get to your sweet spot.. (high attack, High damage.. Lower defense) Is not a paradigm i care for at all.

Kurita Mechs also tend to loose their secondary damage values about half way down the dial, and have a max 2 to 3 damage on primary as well. This forces Kurita players to get in close, which means equipment like decoy and evade tend to have less effect per points. If you want to point out a sick and wrong faction blame the Rasalhague Dominion.
The biggest concern with the wolves is that opposing units start out with nice damage that can sometimes be increased. There for if you let them hit you, you will pass the sweet spot. Or if you use faction pride, a well placed Arty will make you shut down or push yourself to death. Finally if that doesn't work then there are those pesky formations. The only feasible way of fixing steel wolves is to give them at least a two more inches to there units compared to comparable designs.
I.E. SW elemental 10" any other 6"- 8" max.
The other way to make them better is to redesign the paradigm. It would be cool to see steel wolves as having good starting 1/4 dial then degrade as normal then about 3/4 the way through they get better again. much Malcovia the shieldturion.
Now to come back to the the BR/SW alliance. I bet people have for got about the SW JI2A1 attack APC...............................
..................................................................THE ONLY ONE WITH REPAIR AND THE ONLY A.OD. REPAIR VEHICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These and some liao combat techs (which are still legal in the alliance) Hmmmmm and how bout them elite infantry yeah the ones with point D. Now that you have the repair teams I leave you to death and dismember part of that army. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

SW undine are good infantry a formation of them and a formation of BR Onis to start. SW thunder fox or valiant aren't bad mechs. Or you can reak havoc with a BR zeus. Though Glory drop comes to mind. You could merc out units. or better yet BR valiant. Stormhammers Bishops can help transport things. The repair will help SW more than any thing.
