In the interest of getting more dumb Euros and extinct games played, I have made a unilateral decision to dictate exactly what games are to be played at our bi-weekly Vladdicon. It is after all my namesake, and thus I get to make all the decisions. So like it.
12:00 - 2:00 Carcassonne 2:00 - 3:00 Last Night on Earth 3:00 - 5:00 RoboRally 5:00 - 6:00 Eat a Lot of Pizza 6:00 - 8:00 Blood Feud in New York 8:00 - 2:00a Open Gaming
Thank you, Vladd
B.T.W. Zxqueb- I have awarded you the honor of scheduling our gaming pleasure for next meeting.

Addendum: Shelby has three rodents to look after so she goes to bed early. Unsupervised children making their own breakfast at 6 am the following morning is not only hazardous but may be deadly to any creature who gets in their way. Please do not be offended by this, it is for the safety of humankind.

Sounds good to me. I can't argue since it's vladdicon. Does it get to be Zxquebcon the next time? Tiles are good. Carcassonne is good. So what... set up the board for 55 minutes and win in 5? Do you have a board or should I bring the old school chaos? I shudder to think of what the new edition of this ruleset look like. Sounds cool. What is it? My vote is for WoW and L5R, but BEFORE 2am. I wouldn't mind fairy tale either, but that can wait for zxquebcon if need be. I also wouldn't mind another game or two of game of thrones ccg and, of course, navia drapt. Too many games!

Hmm, while I have never played RoboRally, Blood Feud in New York is alot of fun. Jeff and I played it with a friend of ours and we had alot of fun. Its a mafia game kind like risk, but with limos and helicopters.
As for Open gaming L5R and WoW are cool with me.

I'm up for the game of thrones now that I have a better idea of what the heck I am supposed to be doing. Navia always sounds great....if someone can last more than 10 minutes against my set that is Right now I have no interest in L5R, so you guys can skip me on that one. I'd play WoW, but with the horrible beat-down decks you guys have built I might have slim to no advantage. *ahem* I only play games I know I have a chance of winning. House rules. I'm not next on the list for the game day planning, but I'd love to see some Knightmare Chess and if Jeff and I get a chance to iron out the new "Rage" scenario, Zombies aka LNOE. (1 hour set up w/ rules and scenario explanation and 15 minutes of play time!) I can wait my turn...till then maybe I can dig up a copy of Bratz-Teen Extreme Mall Sale, you know, make it a chick sort of day. bwaahaahaahaa See you all Saturday.

Yes Zxqueb, you get to schedule ZxquebiCon.
As for the rest,
LNOE: the non 5-minute version. BTW, You're thinking of Battlelore. LNOE only takes about 2 minutes to set up.
Roborally- I have the full game. We will just play mine to see if everyone else likes it. (The reprint boards are a little less deadly and easier to navigate) READ: FASTER GAME. If everyone else likes it we can do harder set ups and old boards at a later date...
Eat a Lot of Pizza- I figure we'd just order pizza this week and give Shelby a break from chef duties...
Blood Feud- A very simple "Risk" type game themed around a Mafia war. Basically the game is Resource grab, build stuff and attack. Tatically it is a bit deeper than it sounds, because there are no built in "choke points" so turtling is difficult. You can create little safe zones by buying off the cops, but it's expensive and affects your money management. Oh yeah, Hitmen, Limosines, Speedboats and helicopters can zoom right through your territories as well, so turtles die. Also on the plus side, the win condition is killing the other players mob bosses, so the game isn't endless either...
I slotted these games with more time than they actually need, so we will have more open gaming time than is scheduled. Anything goes in open gaming time!

Oh come now Shelby, our Beatdown decks aren't that unfair. Jeff and I's decks are just the right amount of unfair. Either he wins on turn 5-6 with his hunter or I win after turn 6 when he peter's out and I get my foothold w/my paladin (just an example). They're only tournament worthy, not nationals worthy. Although we do thoroughly trounce anyone we face at Recess, so what does that say? Knightmare Chess I have never played, nor Navia, but I don't know if I can get into tose types of games. Chess is hard enough without all the pawns dying in one turn! Matt if you want to bring some VS I have some new decks I built that I would love to play against a different brain. If Jeff/Shelby wants to play I've got tons of decks.

Navia always sounds great....if someone can last more than 10 minutes against my set that is *sigh* I'll build another army and see what I can do. Obviously my combo-licious one didn't work very well. Z

I think your army was great as it was. It was a challenge to kill your big pieces, making it take longer for me to get the Navia enough coin to drapt. Normally I get that done in very few turns. In the games I have played with that army so far I rarely have to get any of my beat down combos out....just the money making ones and that troll to run interference with the handy ability of making me yet more money if you take her out. Figure out a way to kill those off and I'll be hurting. Oh come now Shelby, our Beatdown decks aren't that unfair. ..... Although we do thoroughly trounce anyone we face at Recess, so what does that say? That Shelby needs to play WoW a bit more to even make a fair sport of it for you two. I'll add it to my to-do list. Nothing like having more ways to make Jeff and his friends cry. See everyone Saturday. I'm stocked on coffee so I may stay up a bit later and play WoW or Vs. Of course this is all dependent on the maintenance level of my children....and Dave.

WoW and VS are different games entirely but are both pretty fun. WoW is more magic style with guys that line and swing and spells and such from hand. I find it to be much simpler than VS on the complex/intricate side.
VS is a whole different dog entirely. It has its own system and is not like any other to date. I can make some lower level functional decks (no offense to anyone, but all my decks in VS are the explode your head combo type). If I can find some of my old favorites like X-Mental and Green Lantern those should be fun. I've been wanting to make new decks out of the new base set so this is a good reason to if any!

Ok-- I have a schedule put together for Zxquebicon.
12:00-1:00: Last Night on Earth -- Rage scenario
1:00-1:30: Titan Arena -- The NO table talk version.
1:30 - 3:30: VS Sealed Round Robin -- I have 20 sealed packs of Marvel Knights saved for a special occasion. Dave is going to have to refresh Jeff's knowledge of how to play and one of the two will need to teach Shelby before games day.
3:30-5:30: RoboRally -- Since we didn't get to it last weekend.
5:30-6:30: Dinner
6:30 - 8:30: Halo Actionclix -- Round robin, draft starting teams (either covenant / flood or marines -- 5 figs, 400pts). Shared reserve pools.
8:30+: Open gaming Shelby and Matt to start with Nightmare Chess. Dave and Jeff do whatever.

12:00-1:00: Last Night on Earth -- Rage scenario I've have changed the scenario name to "Old Betsy' to drive Jeff insane. We played the one he downloaded, it was pretty tough. How about baseball signals? I played Vs back in the day. You know, when they were still printed on recycled t.p. tubes. I'm willing to relearn. Dave, Matt do you have any suggestions? Who do you want playing? I can or do you prefer Sean? I don't mind either way. Supervising kids or supervising Jeff...it's the same either way for me. Matt it will make your head hurt, especially if you already excel at regular chess.

How about baseball signals? I think titan needs to be a signal free zone. Doesn't matter to me. I think we should wait and see how tired/focused Sean is after roborally. He needs to be part of that. I kind of suck at regular chess. Does that mean my head will hurt less?

Last Night on Earth- I'm up for anything, this sounds fun. I'll even be the ZM if Jeff wants to try and win.
Titan Arena- I thought there was more bad table talk in that other game we played, but no table talk sounds good.
VS- I am totally up for some sealed play. MMK is a decent set to draft, that is they actually had sealed play in mind that set. I can teach anyone who needs it. Not much changed since Marvel Origins to Marvel Knights so it should be easy. At least we're not playing with DCR for mechanics(but was SOOO good for sealed).
RoboRally- I'm up for it, still never played it.
Dinner- Umm, whatever is cool with me. The pizza was good I thought compared to some sh*tty places I've been. I'll bow to whatever (save a Vegetarian Meal).
Haloclix- I am up for stuff. Faction pure sounds cool.
Open Gaming- I would like to play a 4 player Chrononauts if nobody objects. L5R would be cool. I'm working on more VS decks so any quick games of those would be cool.
