Round 1: FIGHT!! (Last night on Earth). Zxqueb and Miss Guided take on Zombie Master Vladd, completely pwning him. Unfortunately for Miss Guided, all her characters brains are eaten in the process. Zxqueb uses the time the zombies were feeding to make a quick getaway with the bio canisters.
Round 2: BUILD!! (Vegas Showdown). Miss Guided became a full fledged member of the team as we digressed from the schedule into Vegas Showdown. It seems like it was a good fit since the mob boss (AKA Don Atello, formerly of New York) opened her cheese themed casino in Vegas putting three other casinos out of business in the process. Much to the surprise of all those present, cheese and slots go together like goose liver and toast. Mmmm, Goose liver.
Round 3: FLIP!! (Vs Sealed): Warlord finally shambles in looking like one of the brain dead hordes from round 1. That doesn’t stop him from jumping into VS. Unfortunately he loses round 3 against Zxqueb due to Zx’s uncanny play ability and an 8 drop Silver Surfer that says “Matt Wins!” Vladd complains loudly about how much he dislikes VS as he gets his face pounded, but is satisfied when Warlord gets PWNED. Warlord proceeds to make excuses.
Round 4: EAT!! (Lasagna): Mmmm. Lasagna.
Round 5: RACE!! (Robo Rally): 3 out of 5 had never played Robo Rally. So of course we chose the board most punishing of mistakes. Players died left and right. Warlord and Sean got uber weapons and gave up the race in favor of blowing holes in other Robots. Vladd’s early lead was crushed in just this way, leaving room for Zxqueb to finish the race in first place.
Round 6: CHEAT!! (World of Warcraft: Onyxia Raid): We spend an hour and a half absolutely DESTROYING Onyxia. On the turn she dies, we realize Miss Guided wasn’t playing her correctly. The game ends in a disappointing hollow victory.
Round 7: BET!! (Titan Arena): No table talk makes this game more awesome. It was a photo finish with Vladd edging out Zxqueb for the win by 1 dollar. Warlord continues his game day losing streak by going all Texas Hold ‘Em quiet when asked what his secret bid had been. Will it help him in the future? I don’t know. But I do know one thing…
Good old rock. Nothing beats it.
