So we've started a Descent campaign. It's a board game set up as a combat-oriented pseudo RPG board game. Jeff is the evil, stinky overlord who is trying to take over the world. Dave, Shelby, Sean and I are trying to beat his face in.
Dave is the Ubermoover Mage, who can use telekinesis to rearrange the board at will.
Sean is a big basher who can kill things at will.
Shelby and I... Um. Our archer's basically watch the carnage or soften guys as the other two set em up and bash 'em down. So that's the setup. I'll let someone else give the recap of the first (mis)adventure.

So we all draw 4 character cards for setup. We all spread them out and throw out the losers. (Sir Valadir that means you!) I had the best, if not the only, spellcaster. Sean had the best Tanking character by far. Then we come to Shelby and Matt. Talk about covering all the bases mediocrely. Lots of guys that do marginal things. Shelby got what I assume is a ranger that has a little familiar(pet thing) that she can give out to others and get bonus's. Matt got the thief character basically. Stealthy ability and lots of range. We all draw for abilities.
Matt gets an auto +3 range. Shelby gets a free re-roll when she makes a ranged attack. Sean gets....? Something that made him kill easier, hes that retarded at it. I get Telekinesis. Boooo. As awesome as it is, and Matt will attest, I feel like a 39 point Rookie Jean Grey. I do nothing but move people. I take a few shots but I end up dieing because jeff just concentrates on me the whole time. Luckily my character and magic weapon allow me to do some nice tricks when I shoot and hit. An auto stun is always nice.
We buy our sh*t and head off into the dungeon....the level 0 noobs we are....
