W-
Let me know what you think of this as the start of a deck. I know I don't have a lot of the big mutant combo cards (lost city / straight to the grave), but if I get a starter, that will get me 3 Avalons (as well as a second magneto 7 drop). Anyway, the basic premise is that most of the powers can be used with a discard and avalon lets me pull back into my hand @ 2/1. It is an x-men / brotherhood to help get decent characters all across the curve.
1 drop Destiny x3
2 drop Bishop x3 Night crawler x3
3 drop Rogue x2 Wolverine x3
4 drop Blob x4 John Proudstar jean grey
5 drop scarlet witch x3 magneto x3
6 drop emma frost rogue sabretoothx2 mimic
7 drop magneto x2
Locations: Avalon x3 Asteroid M Muir Island Murderworld x2 danger room
Plot Twists Marvel team up x2 Mutant nation A day unlike any other x3 Rise to power Misappropriation Nasty surprise Bamf! crowd control x2 Fastball special Acro dodge Finishing move x3 children of the atom vicarious living x2
As I said -- I'm still trying to figure it all out. As I read murder world, it affects anything with a team affiliation, correct?

Not bad at all. Your characters are decent for the Mutant Nation build.
1 Drops: Destiny is nice, especially if she sticks around. I really like Lorelie and Phantazia, but she'll do. Dazzler is also good for dual teams.
2 Drops: Nightcrawler is prefered. Bishop isn't bad since he can swing in nicely and is big on defense if you opponents characters have range. I absolutely love Pyro on 2, I think hes one of the best 2 drops, I would suggest Pyro over Bishop.
3 Drops: Rogue is nice with her ability, and wolverine is huge, spot on there.
4 Drops: 4 is tricky, each team has great cards here. Blob is nice with his huge Def. value. Proudstar (Apache Chief as I call him) is nice, but you'd better have a Bamf or a way to recover him or hes toast. Rogue is, well, not great. I'd suggest trying to find some 4 Drop Sabertooth's. Polaris is good too, but not integral.
5 Drops: Xmen 5 drops suck. ArchAngel isn't bad, but hes terrible on def. Scarlet Witch is great, Mag's is too, but I'd go straight 4 Scarlet Witch since Mag's is your 7.
6 Drops: Emma Frost isn't bad at all. Mimic is nice too for other powers on the board. Colossus is one character I'd consider since hes freakin huge.
7 Drops: Mags is the best, but I'd put in the 1 7 drop Wolverine too, just in case.
You may consider an 8 drop Xavier soon if you can get one, hes awesome.
Locations: None of those are bad, but ones like Asteroid M and Muir Island and are weird.
Murderworld is correct too.
Plot Twists: The ones you choose are ok, but you need some focus. Once you get some more cards it will be easier I'm sure.

Not bad at all. Your characters are decent for the Mutant Nation build. 1 Drops: Destiny is nice, especially if she sticks around. I really like Lorelie and Phantazia, but she'll do. Dazzler is also good for dual teams. Lorelie's power is dependant on your opponent targetting her and Phantazia seems useful, but not quite as useful as destiny. I could be wrong about that. I didn't want to stack a load of 1 drops in the deck. Why do you like pyro. I can see the direct damage being a plus, but bishop has some raw power. It seems to me that in a way he jumps up the curve in the same way that wolvie (3) does. Of course, I guess it is only useful against range and most people will be putting their ranged attackers in the support row... Is that the reason why pyro > bishop? For me, I like the idea of pyro on 2 to give me more x-men/brotherhood options in the early game to get the team up going. Yeah, I'm not sure about proudstar. I was thinking of putting more jean greys in. She doesn't have a huge attack, but her ability to cycle reserve to graveyard can help me if I need to resource a character early in the game. I may want to do that anyway as a way to run through the deck a bit faster. Anyway, I like her defense, although she is a bit weak on offense. (I would choose odd attack with this build anyway, so having her on defense on evens is not terrible). If I can get some sabretooth 4 drops, I'll switch her out for that since I should have a solid attacker for evens if I get that initiative. Good advice. Done. I left one Mag in just to keep it around for pumps and giggles. I left colossus out because I didn't know how the deck would run. I'm not sure how many dead characters I would have in the KO pile. I'll trust your advice though. I'm going to leave emma, mimic and rogue, but switch sabretooth for colossus. Ok -- will do. Yep. I was mostly working on getting the curve. I have a huge amount of plot twists and locations in the deck currently that I need to think about and edit. I just sort of threw in anything that might work. I will likely edit out Asteroid M, but I like Muir Island's ability to keep people alive. What do you mean by focus? So right now, I have: 1 drop Destiny x3 2 drop Pyro x3 Night crawler x3 3 drop Rogue x2 Wolverine x4 4 drop Blob x3 jean grey x3 5 drop scarlet witch x4 magneto x1 6 drop emma frost rogue colossus x2 mimic 7 drop magneto x2 Wolvie Locations: (probably will stay this way) Avalon x3 Muir Island Murderworld x2 danger room Plot Twists (probably will stay this way) Marvel team up x2 Mutant nation A day unlike any other x3 (To be determined) -- the ones with ** are the ones I am leaning towards -- let me know what you think. **Rise to power **Misappropriation **Nasty surprise **Bamf! **Acro dodge **Finishing move x2 **children of the atom **Break you x2 **fast getaway x2 **prismatic shield **call to arms vicarious living x2 crowd control x2 Fastball special Finishing move x1 Right now, that leaves me with: 34 characters 7 locations 6 team ups 14 plot twists Total =61 unless I miscounted.

Not bad, not bad at all. I'll take a look over it and see what I can do, especially if I can swing some rares your way.
I can help with other decks too. Try out a 1.0 list and I'll shoot my advice over.

Ok -- I started on a avengers reservist deck -- I'll type that out when I have a minute.
Thanks!
