Your event was a good incite into the top tier at 600 points - I think if I came across a pair of Hyperlasers on Nova Cats, I'd have been like a rabbit in a set of headlamps. Did they work for him or did the RISC gear backfire? They worked for him every time he fired. Luckily terrain placement favored me and 2 big mechs are hard to run well since there is very little support. He could dish out damage, but not take it very well. CaineHazen won fellowship. He was a really nice guy on top of going 1/4 with 0VCs for the day (obviously his win was a bye). Not sure on that. Pretty well. The TTLs were either key in the game or not really a part of it. There were a couple times where I lost the arty duel, but the fact that I could push move for no damage and repair the TTLs was helpful. IT is useful, but so expensive!!

I argued that the TTL's could perform well without a transport. I am glad to see that they did. IT is expensive.. So is missing I would miss most of the time without IT

Seems like everyone was going for Jack on the rocks. Which is the most overpowered ability (yes even more powerful than Reqium). Yet BR solitaires are take wins left and right all over the world. and no peep from the twins.

Yeah, the Twins are basically first strike and you're done. If they hit the shot and can run, great. Otherwise, they're gonna die. I'm guessing the Twins player didn't play them in the Constructed day, and just busted 'em out for Top 16.

I concur.. they are not that worthwhile in my opinion.. They used to be the deadly duo.. They just don't have it anymore

The new RISC Pulse gear for lights (and recruiting them to a +1 damage faction pride) gives them the possibility of Fortune dealing out 12 damage in 1 turn in the name of first strike.
I'd prefer the gear on the HK Crimson Hawk, but the first strike thing isn't there.

It seems like a lot of points for a very iffy first strike. It might work occasionally but not consistently enough for me!

Again, I guarantee you, if I run Fortune with RISC Hyper Pulse (or whatever it's called), I'll run up into water into a nice little formation with my ATVs, I'll declare a ranged-combat formation, I'll roll my 1d6, that Pulse Module will blow the f**k off, and I'll get killed and die.
And I'll deserve it. The Twins suck.

I suppose whoever won the Fellowship for the Worlds Fellowship must be the nicest guy on the planet - he probably just rolled 2 dice at a time to give his opponent a chance. It only seemed like I was rolling 2 dice.... ;D I just roll that bad. Iplayed some great guys out there though. It was nice during the first game when my opponent set down his three mechs, then looked at my 3 and said " I was hoping that people were gonna play like this" It was a great time and it was good to meet some of the folks around this forum. I look forward to meeting some of you at GenCon
