I have a 450 pointer that worked well against everything but the stinkiest cheezzzze It is house Kurita pure. 15 points for plus 1 damage faction pride. 130 for the crimson hawk 26 for J.P. Milhew 23 for pulse (light) 137 for Segi 13 for Chu-I 21 for Artemis FCS (lights) 45 for Raiden BA x3 40 for Oni BA x2 (veteran) It went 4-2 with 25 VC's and destroyed every mech that was fielded except one. If you have the pieces try it out. It pretty fun and not to cheesy ;D

It looks interesting. I just hate that light makes are really out of it once they take a good hit. Although being Kurita Negates that some.

Malvina thought the same way. My second battle was agaist the jade turkies and malvina assaulted over blocking and hit the crimsonhawk for 5, :'(but with faction pride bring my damage back to 3, I counter attacked hit and made the pulse. The sad thing was my next two shot came from the raiden and wacked her out of jumps. ;D
Other mechs to fall prey to this army are were Chicako, Bolt(it took 4+4 from a fresh Hawk and went to salvage.), fusili's kubi, SW blade, and Sandoval in thunder fox.
The linch pin to playing the army is patience and keep the infantry ready to support. The best quality is that it's two mechs and not one big one.

Wow! all I can say is that you roll tons better than I do My second game I rolled 3 critical misses in a row! two of my last 3 games I opened with Critical misses one was with Chikako vs a stormhammer atv!

On tues. it claimed three out of four mechs. although it wen 1 and 2 with 3VC (all from the first match). They seem to have a problem with R.O.S. targets. the latest mech to survive was a R.O.S. hellion. But I smoked another duke in thunderfox, a SW thunder fox, and a SW blade.

I was playing the double Roku army for a while and what I found was that it was too reliant on dice rolls + luck for my liking. There was the need to have the +1 damage FP card in play as well as other units outside the scope of what Kurita had availible to them. In a couple of sets to flesh out availible troops and 600 point builds, these will become really good, I think. Until then, I can't minimize luck enough to make them work for me. They are fun to play though.

During worlds and the batchall I bid down to 401 pts but the other guy bid lower.. I played two ROkurubi's and and SPirit Cat Sun Cobra.. I missed 10 consecutive attacks and failed 5 consecutive shutdown rolls... It is wayyyy too dependent on dice for me! baw

You are forgeting about the the 5 infantry, they do have a tendancy to soften targets. The Kubi has a ten attack w/ pilot starting which means it usually fires second or at low dencive targets first, and the damage faction pride tends to go to the crimson hawk.

infantry without transports usually don't get to too many targets to soften them.. They tend to get chewed up by artillery and long range mechs!

There was only one time my infantry got raked. Which is kinda suprising.

Infantry (outside of ATV's) don't seem to get a lot of use unless transported. I guess we tend to chew through them pretty quick!

Untransported infantry do fairly well in these parts, especially in formations.

Interesting... Last time I played in Ohio they loved the DF Shocktroopers. (FFE days) I haven't seen anyone do real well down here with infantry formations outside of ATV's.

Untransported Infantry generally do ok around these parts. The most artilery thats played is either Postman Steve or myself, and I don't play anywhere near as much as Steve.
