So what kind of armies are you playing or have you seen. Last night there were two ROTS forces and 1 JF force 1 army was Peacemaker, Esparanza, Duke, Raptor II other was Levin, Esparanza, Kodiak, Peacemaker Third army was Black rose, BF shrike, Goshawk, Loki I really don't care for this type of large mech battles it is a matter of who rolls highest first Fortunately I was just BMing Only one Critical hit all night!

Not a fan of this scenario. At all. But you can pretty much freaking guarantee that Jack will be one of my 'Mechs -- anything to give me a better chance to hit. And I'll be packin' IT on the rest. Yawn.

hmm I still haven't played Jack yet My army I built has IT on almost everyone This is a roll fest! Unfortunately at times I think they are trying to push the game this way. I am afraid too many games are going to be like this when we lose arty

actually esparanza with pilot isn't terrible.. If you manage to roll awe you can deny your opponent the movement of one of their mechs.. That can be VERY significant!

Yep, my experiences with Jack pretty much mean that he'll be a constant companion for some time to come (esp now we're edging closer and closer to 600 pts).
The chance to play 3 Shrikes (elect camo) and a Goshawk (more elect camo) may well be too great - esp as there are no PCCs around.
I'm going to look into gunslingers recruited to Seafox - a pretty nifty way of killing off mechs. Chikako, Blackout Malice, Jack and Scott Graves' ride come to mind. Our event is next Wednesday, so its thinking caps on.

Heart says go with the Falcons, head says go with Jack and shooty stuff...
Yami Shiro+Tadashi+IT Kaminari Shiro+Corpuz+IT HK Nova Cat+De Jesus+IT Jack+Le Julz (HK recruited)+BAP HK FP(+1 dam)
Comes up just short of 1200. Three Shiros makes it a bit too brittle. The NC can act as a back stop and protect the rear of the Shiros. I was also keen to take something with an energy attack so as to put some heat on my opponent. I'm trying to put some of my time into this as I've seen that its a constructed event and I presume, ranked.
I'm determined to get that ranking of mine moving (2 per month will be my maximum, though). As I see it, its the constructed and draft events that carry ranking points - what about Storyline events like these?

This month's Storyline doesn't contribute toward Rankings. NO Storyline has contributed to rankings in almost a year, I think.
Currently, the only WK-sponsored events that affect rankings are the ones whose event title is "MW Constructed Event" or something similar. And of course, any Sealed tournament.
If you want a chance to play for ratings, you can also ask your BM to schedule venue-supported Constructed events, as those can have battle results entered. Just make sure he puts the format as "Constructed", otherwise he won't get to enter results.
Make sense?

After much gnashing of teeth, I've settled on the following army for the Storyline tomorrow:
Kaminari -Celina -IT ^^ CNC Nova Cat -Stark -IT Tremor -Froenhofer (CNC) -IT Jack -Julz (LE- CJF) -Beagle CNC/JF SA ============== 1197
I'm tired just thinking about this freaking scenario.

Won with it... not that the competition was amazing. Jack + Heavy IT was definitely the way to go, and Kaminari/Celina was the star.
