I tested an adapted version of your Worlds Fellowship army.
Very strong and impressive.
Kotch would call this a mind trick or some such I meant it as an compliment.

Elite, I'm with Kotch on this one... Actually, the fact that the US Nats were 450 means that the Worlds Fellowship was the first and only outing ,at top level, for 600 point games. Its such a shame that the EC Event had that 2 mech rule. I tested an adapted version of your Worlds Fellowship army. Very strong and impressive. Kotch would call this a mind trick or some such I meant it as an compliment.

Guys I am a half way decent player and a good builder, what can I achieve with silly mind tricks. Hopeing no one will play it, or that everyone will play two BR solis ?
My EC army is a match for those Solis specilay with me behind the wheel. It doubt very few others will play Alpha. (dont tell me another jedi mind trick)
The 2 Solis will kill a Hvy die in the progress and they will still win. That is its main strong point. As the Solis are cheaper than the hvy.
I also tested aiko+decoy+seka it is to passive-agressive for my taste but not bad at all.
I am exploring as much options as there are. Last year I was warning everyone for the 450 Perseudor zombie army Till man went undefeated with to the top 8. He switched armies then.
All I am saying to those that think Hvy+support should fear 2 Solis.
The Solis have the edge.
Yah if I am World Champion you can tell me I mindtricked everyone......
But then I wont mind it......
2 Mechs isnt nescceraly bad
Ok on thursday should I join the 800 faction pure thing ?
I would play my faction House Kurita though.....

Thanks Elite.
It is a pretty solid build, mostly because of the options that it provides on the battlefield. It's fairly good against a wide variety of threats.
It'll be interesting to see what everyone brings. For me, I am down to a few of armies to choose from.
It will definitely be interesting...
I can't wait!

That's a BIG part of army building when you go to an event like the Nats/Worlds etc. You're fighting "outside your bubble" and therefore the army build that always does well at your Club very often doesn't cut the ice. Having multiple threats (that are credible) and no 1 big points sink is a great way of responding to and overcoming new and unseen challenges. The BR Solis are probably the best mix of mobility, defence and attacking threat that exist at the moment. There are other RHDLMs that offer the same protection and mobility (the Anubisssss) but they lack the destructive power - and I'm not sure if their range advantage counts for much when their damage is realtively poor. I think I'll have to start a new thread up called "Sad blokes who are going on holiday to France and not the Worlds" - should be a real winner!! Never mind, every time I get stuck behind a caravan, I shall think of Brinxter, Elite and Ian.

Hey THink of me too I really need to get focused on building a Worlds army. I had to run events at the convention this weekend for a local convention. I am tired beyond belief. I hope I can hold it more together at GenCon. I lost lots of War Colleges ( I guess I am supposed to) i couldn't roll a ten and rolled tons of Crit misses ;P Hope to see you guys soon!
