I like to keep my collection as small as possible. Towards that goal, I am trying to decide which Atlas (or Atlases) are the best and worth keeping.
I don't care much for Sunfire or Sugar Rush. They seem to have fast-dropping stats compared to the other versions. The pilot abilities aren't great either, since Sunfire's pilot requires a roll of 1 or 2 to work.
Bjorn seems to be in a whole different category to me. So very different from the other versions! Statistically, Bjorn is the strongest Atlas - it has the highest average defense, attack, and damage values by far. But how much does it hurt to start out with meager values?
That leaves Hammerfall, Solitude, and Headmaster. I like each of these versions, for different reasons: 6 primary plus 13 starting attack value plus many targets for HF; 24 DV and 5 clicks of Hardened for Soli; and good stat stability with a great heat dial for HM.
So, what do you guys think? Do you have any experience with a particular version to share, that might help me out?

Agreed -- Solitude
Headmaster pulls runner up for me.
Love that heat dial.

1.) Solitude 2.) Headmaster 2a.) Hammerfall
Sunfire actually keepts its offensive stats and Heavy Armor for a good long time, and its pilot ability is cheap and potentially extremely useful; it deserves honorable mention. I really do not care for Sugar Rush, and Bjorn is an Atlas in sculpt only.

hmm Solitude is wonderful. I really want to take a closer look at Sugar rush and give it a couple of shots. It is tough to do better than the Solitude. People play him quite a bit here!

I appreciate all the responses. I don't get to play as often as I'd like, so advice from active players is very helpful.
It seems to me that Hammerfall and Headmaster were costed with repairability in mind. I don't think that high-level armies of the future are going to be able to depend on repair, though - Constant Tremors is too hard to cancel, and next year's Nationals and Worlds tournaments may eliminate Annihilation from play anyway (read: Combat Techs and Saviors).
So Solitude's 24 defense and Hardened Armor wins out! I will have to give it a run soon . . .

Don't forget Solitudes Attack. That is one think I think is really good!
12,13, or 14 attack are impressive numbers.
