Well, since we can't get together and play this right now , I thought we could have a discussion about the new strategy cards and figure out which set to play with. Basically, they have produced a completely new set, yet they allow you to mix and match with the old set, to customize the game to your liking. First up is the replacement for #1 Initiative. #1. Leadership: Take ChargePrimary Ability: Recieve 3 command counters from your reinforcements. You may then immediately use this cards secondary ability. Secondary Ability: Masterful Tactician You may spend influence to purchase up to 3 command counters from your reinforcements. You recieve 1 command counter for every 2 influence you spend. Original #1: InitiativeSpecial: After selecting this strategy card immediately claim the speaker token. During the action phase, you do not have to spend command counters from your Strategy Allocation area to execute the Secondary ability of Strategy cards. you may not select initiative during the next Strategy Phase. So basically, this has moved the old logistics Strategy card up to the front of the line. Also the speaker token is now taken on a different Strategy card, so that effect is gone as well. Most signifigantly, no more freebies on the secondaries for the person that has initiative (although the effect may be negligible since the new card is giving you 3 free command counters) What do you guys think? Do you prefer easier access to command counters? or do you prefer being a bit action starved? Discuss.... -vladd

This card has alot of potential. I like extra counters ALOT over just simply spending for free. Leadership allows you to do more than just get free stuff. Althought picking first was still awesome.
What card grants you the speaker token. Perhaps if you put all the variants out we could decide easier?

I am doing one at a time because quite frankly, It takes along time to type out the text on both cards, I want to discuss each card on a seperate thread (less confusing) and I am bored and trying to stir up a little activity here....Besides what is your hurry??? I thought it'd be fun to analyze each card individually, it's all sneak peaky like... -Vladd ...And to answer your question it's the new Politics card, and I like it ALOT....

Hrm -- This seems too powerful to me. Card #1 is strong because it's card #1. Speaker was an added bonus. Getting Logs and #1 together is just plain crazy talk.
