The Michigan Mechwarrior Scrubby Championship

This event will take place in Kalamazoo, on March 17, 2007 at 10am. This event will take place at the Marmalade Dog Convention (1903 W Michigan Ave.). Web link is here-

This event is open to only 32 players. Please sign up in advance so we can have an accurate count. Web link to sign up is here-

This will be a 750 points and 5 order Unrestricted event. All armies must be Faction Pure only (all of your units must have the same faction symbol printed on its base). You may have up to 100 points of Mercs or Gunslinger in your army. These units must be recruited to your faction via a merc contract or by paying the recruitment cost. You may only play 2 artillery pieces and you may only play 2 VTOL units.

This event will be 3 rounds of Swiss pairings and then we will cut to the top 8 for single elimination. Prizes will be provided by Wizkids and West Michigan Sports Card Connection in Grand Haven.

32 players max.

You know Zxqueb, I was talking today with Bigbro911 about you. We were discussing the Marauders 1-2 record against you. This is something that the Marauder leadership finds unsatisfactory. Bigbro911 is not overly thrilled with only taking 50% of the games he has played against you as well.

With this being said, if you show up, the Marauders will issue a “bounty” to anyone who can beat you during the tournament. This prize will be supplied by Bigbro911. This should make things a little more interesting. We can’t have the Fellowship World Champion and someone who finished in the top 4 at Worlds running around our state with out a bounty on his head.

As I always say, if you can’t beat them, pay someone to do it for you! We hope to see you there!!!!!!!

Pre-registration is open on the Marmalade Dog website. All you need to do is click on the pre-registration form, enter your name, phone #, e-mail and click on “Slot Three” (it’s a drop down menu) and click on MINI3-01 (This is the Michigan Mechwarrior Scrubby Championship registration ID code).

If anyone has players who do not have internet access, get their name, e-mail (if they don’t have one use yours) and their phone number and you can enter the information for them!!!!!

I need everyone who plans on attending to do this! Marmalade Dog has stated that if you do not pre-register on their website they will not hold a seat for you!!!!!!!!!

If you need any help or have any questions please PM or E-mail me!!! If those are not an option post your question, I check these threads a couple of times a day. Remember we have no limit on players as long as they pre-register with Marmalade Dog!!!!!

Well Zxqueb, the bounty is on the table. I guess it would be fair to allow you to claim the bounty if you prevent anyone from beating you. I think that sounds good but I would have to place some conditions on it. You have to leave the BR Solitaires at home. My players will do the same but I cannot speak for everyone else. What do you think? The extra Black Bart with Terrain will be a "special" prize given either to you or to the first player that beats you.

Will you be able to make it? Will Team Rideswithdave make a good showing??

Any restrictions on Faction Pride cards? Are alliances negated for this event? Can you go all-Merc? Do wolf hunters count as Mercs for the 100pt restriction?

Faction Pride cards are not Restricted other then by standard rules.

NO alliances house, grand or otherwise! NO SA cards!

NO all Merc armies! 100 point cap on Mercs or GS.

Wolf Hunters count as Mercs in Faction armys.

Wolf Hunters are a faction and can be played on their own. Pilots that came with WH Mechs or LE vesions are considered WH for WH Faction pure.

Just pick a "real" faction, it makes my life easier!
