Holy crap, I am looking at just the first picture right now, and...
I shall edit with a fuller opinion once I have seen the others (Hard to pull myself away from the first).
EDIT:So, will all of these mechs be mercenary then? Very interesting stuff, glad to see Koshis back, though there are no Ghosts so to speak.
And hey, the DireWolf has its missle rack back. Cool stuff.

One of the new mediums is a "Gravedigger"-class.
For some reason, that name makes me think of monster truck rallies . . .

Solaris ~ Monster Truck rallies....
Maybe! I mean the showboating and fanfare are certainly the same... But I don't think I've ever seen two monster trucks go head to head and see who could take the other out... now that would be cool!!

I think it comes from the fact that there was an old monster truck commercial, that advertised Bigfoot, Gravedigger, Kodiak, etc. lol!

More info and sneak peaks on a pretty regular basis.
The SOLARIS Mechs are only really of interest to me if they are MW compatible (please say they are). I'd even put up with the paint schemes - were these schemes designed by some 6 year old school kids as part of a WK competition?
At last, confirmation of the mixed gear CECs with Arm P and Anti Pers for Mediums. If these are out with the Champions Packs, then there should be 8 of them - one for each mech. Some are bound to be more powerful than others and it seems like the points costs are fairly well calculated.
Bottom line is that its good to see movement in the game. I don't to go back to the days of 3 releases a year but it seems a long time since WS was released and this spate of activity should give the game a real boost.

Solaris is a gaming world, and mechs are usually painted flashy colors for crowd appeal.

The SOLARIS Mechs are only really of interest to me if they are MW compatible (please say they are). I'm 99.9% sure that they are. My understanding is that Solaris is a secondary/temporary ruleset while they revise / re-write the standard Mechwarrior rules. I don't think there are plans to change the units to fit the solaris rules. They want to keep everything compatable. I'm sure southpaw can verify. Z

I went back a few months in the WK News section and lifted this from the State of the Nation transcript...
Currently we are considering releasing the Solaris VII rules in perhaps May-June on the website in a PDF format so you players can get a chance to start learning the rules and using your existing units to play Solaris VII. Yes, that's right, YOU CAN USE CURRENT EXISTING UNITS!
So, if you can use existing units to play SOLARIS VII, hopefully the new SOLARIS VII mechs will be tourney legal of MW.

They will be totally AOD compatible. Maybe even preferable? With a bit of luck and power creep, that is certain to be true. Thanks for the post, SP! Z

I just hope there's no rule that if you want to field a SOLARIS Mech in MW, you have to wear a team strip that's in the same colours as your mech. Believe it or not, I don't look too great in bright purple and yellow spandex, so the Rifleman is certainly a non-starter for me..
