No real MW activity for some time. Are we in a lull because of a lack of releases? Is everyone fed up of playing the same pieces and/or formats?
I'm not sure how well supported SOLARIS is at the moment in your areas. We're struggling to keep MW afloat - there is certainly no appetite for SOLARIS.
The game design thread on Realms has prompted a lot of discussion - good to see Corle back.
I'm hoping that the Champions Packs and Solaris Mechs will add to the mix of units/gear and pilots and provide AoD with a shot in the arm.
Next one up for me is Gencon UK at the end of August. Looks like the only "formal" events will be Solaris. I was hoping to get some AoD play in.
I like the idea of bringing 1500-1800 points of troops along, split into 3 armies, and fighting 3 rounds. You could choose 3 armies of equal points value or get fight with 3 armies of different sizes.
Cheers for now

Hiya any word on MW on Gencon UK Ian is also interested but we do require some MW events.... Well, still no other events than SOLARIS at the moment. I've asked the head BM to look at the availability of tables for those who don't wish to play SOLARIS. What would your travel plans be? Perhaps we can go for 1 day with a proper MW event (the Friday?). I'm hoping to be there for the Fri and Sat. I'm sure Anup would support a MW day if there was enough interest. I'll try and get hold of Richard to see what the London guys are planning.

I've got in touch with Richard who would be up for a MW event. He hasn't finalised his plans yet but will be attending. I've asked him to get his London gamers together.
The BM has sent me the draft programme and all the official events are SOLARIS (a UK championship, a Stable mathc and demos). However, there will be scope to play MW for those who want to and I would have thought that we could arrange our own games for a day and just grab some tables.
So, no good news on the official front but I'm sure we can do something.
Would you guys prefer 600 constructed (no restrictions) or some sort of campaign event over the day (like Origins)?
We could also look at putting on a "Scrubby Match" on an evening.

I'd like to attend Gencon UK but i dont feel comfortable with just one day of "random" MW games. I think there are ~4 dutch players willing to go to Gencon UK but with every day that passes in uncertainty that number will slim down.
I hope that everything works out in the end.

Tj anything is fine as long as it doesnt change 2 days beforehand. i even play your silly faction pure rules just to kick richard in the nuts :-p
If you something going we will talk about it and see if we come over.
Offical support helps as it guarentees there is somekind of event.
A Anglo-dutch match part sealed part constructed such as Trevor (Silly US state Indiana ?) plays vs MT (California) also fine.
we willl see

Elite, the Team Event sounds a great idea. I've seen your reply on the Euro Forums and hopefuly we'll start to get some feeback.
I'd also be happy to go for a 600 point unrestricted as another or additional format.

Heh, yes its true! I have already planned my vacation this year and it doesnt leave that much spare room for Gencon. (budget wise) 50 pounds per night would be almost as much as the flight itself, wich makes it a very short appearance for me
