That doesn't sound good! They are saying that they are going to run out of product for Annihalation. That sounds bad . I guess I will have to hurry and get my case rather than waiting. That also means they are probably going to drive the prices higher What is everyones thoughts about this? baw

Where was this said at? If this is a rumor I think its pretty unfounded since they shouldn't run out if Firepower was any indication of a good set selling. If it is true tho, I may need to find me a helper to buy a case.

I wouldn't mind too much. If Annihilation sells out that means that there are a lot of people playing Mechwarrior, right? That seems like a good thing to me. Forget the collectors, they will spend their money on the secondary market to get their pieces. As for the rest of us, lets trade! I started Mechwarrior with humble beginings and 12 pieces given to me and my roommate. I started to build a collection by searching through the "junk" bins and finding pieces I could put together into armies I thought would do okay. Once I started winning every so often I would trade my unique/LE for pieces that would help me win more games. I loved trading and miss it.

If I can't manage to get any... (we have a smaller venue so they only order like half a case to begin with... and that sells out FAST) I guess I'll just have to trade for some. I'd really like to pool for a case however... seeing as how I will be a CNC player

I think they decided to make a smaller run. They had the big promotion and Venues had to pre-order cases for the "Marquee" events. The other issue is that this release was delayed. They have more orders than originally planned. Since they were delayed they already have the next factories being tooled for the next set so they can't (not ecominacally feasible) go back and print anymore. That my feelings on the why. I am still a little concerned about the how it is going to fall out. I on the other hand DragonDawg.. hate trading I love each and every figure. I hate to get rid of any of them. I finally have had to make a Trade/Giveaway box. I don't count those as my figures and it doesn't hurt to trade or give them away! I had a new player who has been playing a bunch clean it out the other day though! A set of Zeus's and lots of goshawks and tons of tanks It is goign to be interesting to see how it turns out! baw

Well, I am hoping they do have such a small quantity of the expansion that it will be impossible to get enoughto support certain factions(Wit CNC coming out, that is going to cause alot of people to go test them out, making it harder for the people who wish to play them since SC days get their hands on them....). I do hope however there is enough, thankfully, I do not think my venue has anyone buying cases from them, so all the boosters are going to just be sold individually, meaning better chances for the players in my area(including me ) to be able to get our hands on them(Specifically, Clan Nova Cat in my case ). My $0.02

And being that you are a stravag Liao you will have no need of the Spirit Cat/Nova Cat pieces you pull, quineg?

I dunno you guys. I'd love to afford a case, but with Domination coming and that being the Republic heavy set, not to mention the enourmous set, you think its worthwhile for me to buy a case? Also, for me to afford a case, I need to save 3 paychecks, unfortunately. -W

The nice thing about buying a Case of Annihalation is that you should be able to get a full set. ALthough getting all those republic mechs will be nice. The thing is.. Look at the units that have been put up already and see what you think you would use. If you really like the uniques... then I would definitely buy a case of Annihilation. If you just see a few units you should be able to buy/trade for the figures..
just my two cents..

Annhilation has alot of pretty decent stuff in it which is the problem. The new Goshawk is awesome and I really want that. The Neanderthal's and King Crabs are cool too, which really makes me want to get a case. A case also helps me get Rashalhague SR chances.
The problem that really hurts is I play more than 1 game. October 26 Annhilation releases, October 29 JLA pre-release for DC VS System. What to waste my money on?!?!
If I save up all my paychecks like a good little boy, I could possibly afford to buy a case after the set releases. Since our venue buys a sh*te-load since we sell him out all the time, I think I can one from him for a good price.

There are some decent pieces in annihilation. I just dread all the sealed with me pulling Jes III's. I am trying real hard to decide whether to buy a case. It would be the first set I haven't. I probably will just because I can't resist! I really need to save Money for Domination. Lots of Republic Units
