This is the first card I really don't like. I think it will push everyone up the tech tree too fast. In it's current state, Tech advances slowly and the only players who get Warsuns are the ones who invest a lot of time into developing them, at the expense of other pursuits. With this card, I think the whole table will have Warsuns very quickly. It's not so much a balance thing, just a question of taste. I like tech slow, difficult, and meaningful. I think this card takes some of the decision making (and thus strategy) out of the mix. This card is meant for the short-attention spanned power gamers, who want everything maxed out ASAP. It may not turn out that way, but it sure smells like it.

I dunno, Warsuns come quicker, but they are ALOT of tech's that are never taken because the game ends in about the same amount of time that it takes to get a Warsun, build it, and then move it. What good is a Death Star if you never get to blow up Alderaan? I've got mixed feelings on this one.

On the other hand -- uber defense grids come on line faster too... By the way -- Vassal has a twilight imperium mod... Z

This is true, and I somewhat agree...but why bother having a tech tree if everyone ends up with everything anyway? -Twilight Lefty
