Ok.. What does everyone else think of the New Jonah Levin. Do I like having a new Jonah Levin.. YES. Do I like not having spikey things . Sure. I looked at it 10 times before I figured out it was an atlas though. I kept thinking they had the wrong picture there. That atlas seems way way too blocky to be an atlas. Actuallly after Playing Star Wars lego.... This seems like a Star Wars Lego atlas. The big gap in the middle just seems wrong. I always pictured Atlases as Bulky not light and springy looking. Perhaps the picture doesn't do it justice WOOOHOO I am a Medium Mech now (from number of posts ) Anyone else see something different than me?

Yeah, the atlas does look Star Wars Lego-ish. Its really the paint scheme combined with the sculpt. The atlas of old always looked more sleak like, not as disproportionate as it is. Although it is huge looking, and I'm sure once I have it in my hands it will be awesome.

Looks like Megabloks. That's all I can say.

Make sure you notice that he's standing on the head of an older Atlas. That scores points for me!

I didn't care for the SPIKEY's of the old atlas but I liked the form better. I guess I haven't held this one in my hands yet so I am going to try and hold off judgement until I do. Everyone who has held one says it is better than you can imagine.

Well, as warlord pointed out to me the other night, it IS 100+ years in the future. It is likely that the Atlas chassis would have changed. Still, I am not a huge fan of the new sculpt. The older spiky version "felt" more like an Atlas to me. That may change once I can turn the thing over in my hands.

The thing that drives me crazy is that they retained the same Designation. AS7-D They should have called it an AS8 or AS7-J or something different. They used to change those designations when they changed weapon configurations.

In my thought, how old is the old Atlas? Maybe they were simply going to scrap the design. After all, it is older I'm assuming. You don't see Derek Hasbani out there too often with that clunker anymore. Everything gets an overhaul.
