Exciting Weekend of MW

I drove an hour to play. My son was on a Boy Scout camp this weekend (freezing but that is a whole different story).

Last week no one showed but us. Occasionaly they get some people but it has been spotty lately.

I didn't really plan an army or anything.

2 people showed up that I wasn't terribly concerned and suprisingly.. A guy drove over an hour came to play against me. (I haven't seen him in a while)


The exciting news they all built their armies to Fight Chikako.

The first army was Peacemaker with ECM and Clan Sea Fox Havoc? and a repair unit.

The second guy brought... Yami (with pilot) Merc paladin, and another arty and NC atvs

The third guy brought two Jade hawks (both) recruits to jade falcon.

I wasn't quite expecting that kind of competition but it was pretty exciting!

Anyone else see any exciting armies this week?

I guess I really have to start changing up my army!

Thats great, baw! I had an awsome weekend of MW too!
I am still so stoked about it. In no particular order:

1. My girlfriend is really starting to enjoy playing and she is getting good too, too good. We switched armies this week because she didn't have time to playtest the SC/DF SA army and she logged her first victory with my BR FP Chikako and X-Axis w/repair army.

2. The two tournements on Saturday both had six people playing. The same six, but I think that is a good thing too. There are other players in the area that have shown up before, some I know make it when they can, others were turned off when not a lot of people showed up.

3. Two guys who used to play are getting back into it and they are both going to be GOOD.

4. Battlemaster AMP is handing over controll at one of the venues to Battlemaster John so he is going to be able to play again. He is a great guy, and I was starting to worry about his passion wanning because he never gets to play, now he'll be able to.

5. My SC/DF SA army went 6-0, but had two or three good, close-ish games.

6. I already have armies picked out for next week for me and the gf and we started play-testing them yesterday. So cool, so exciting.

That sounds great.. Hopefully you have a guaranteed qualifier for Nationals. Your Girlfriend might be fighting you for that spot

6 people after Christmas is pretty good! I am sure once you get playing some more will show interest

Sounds like the south is finally starting to pick up eh DD? Its cool that your gf is getting better, at least she can say that she isn't just getting beat by you all the time.
