Who has pulled the twins so far? I haven't seen anyone pull them so far. I am buying more boosters this weekend so hopefully I will see them I still haven't even thought about an army for them since I haven't seen them yet! baw

Well, I haven't gotten any boosters yet. I know X-Sythe has them because he beat me silly with them last night. I have a Twins army drafted which includes a support drop, but really I am holding out hope that they will be nerfed. They are just too darn powerful as they stand. Not only are they order efficient, the fact that they can act twice a turn with no real downside is like making your opponent lose a turn every turn. They suck to play against and will kill the tournament scene without a fix.
My $.02,
Z

I guess I will actively look for some Still even if both people are playing them this will be down to the old game of who goes first! I read about your support drop idea for the twins. that sounded nasty! What did X-sythe play them with last night?

I read about your support drop idea for the twins. that sounded nasty! What did X-sythe play them with last night? Feh. Too bad it was poo pooed by the rest of the forum. I really don't see how they intend to keep away from a formation drop all game... especially if they are so darn concerned with protecting their rear arcs. I say you'll be able to hit one or the other. I think the counter to the twins can take 2 forms: 1) Multiple light, high defense mechs. ROTS Hellion or BR Solitaires are the best choice. With no nerf, Warlord1985's all hellion army may have a shot at nationals. 2) Multiple drop with infantry formations and a +1 damage faction pride. Problem is, that army type isn't particularly strong against other things. My $.02, Z

I own the twins as of now, so does Soutpaw.
They are too freaking strong without a shadow of a doubt. My Hellion army may work, but it will be one hell of a fight.

@zxqueb I think just a couple poo pooed (Is that a word ) you. I think the rest were quietly thinking.. wow that is a nasty idea.. I hope no one else uses it (like what I was doing). I think drop with those guys is unbelievably nasty. What is the biggest problem with drop? Order Consumption. What do the twins excel at ? Not Consuming orders. Also you could Assault order into firing formation (just take a random assault order shot) and then formation fire hard into opponent. Wherever you sent up the tank drop at.. One could move into assist the drop from about anywhere. I think it is a strong idea and if people are ignoring it.. they will sit up when they get hit the first time by it! warlord1985Do I remeber this army of Lights Heckions you are talking about? Did you post it here? My son loves those guys and uses them well. I just don't remember your army.

Baw, I don't remember if I posted it here either. My 450 army is:
3x RotS Hellions JP Milhew -Decoy Lil Turner -Light Art. IV RotS Faction Pride
450 even.
in 600 tho it gets nastier:
4x RotS Hellions JP Milhew -Decoy Lil Turner -Light Art. IV Light +2/+1/0 Pilot AnP Light 0/+1/+1 Pilot RotS Faction Pride
These variations have at least a 75% win ratio respectively. I love em'!

The 600 is where it really shines, IMHO.

have you considered scott graves? I might take a look at this army and give it shot during unrestricted. I don't remember seeing it but thanks for posting. It does look like fast fun My son played Peacemaker and one of these guys during 600 pts a lot! It was an interesting force.. The little guy was impossible to hit and running inteference for Peacemaker.

Scott Graves is awesome, hes just expensive for what he does, and I like having some bigger moves. Scott is in my 750 Hellion Army. A Hellion for every cause.

I question the usefulness of ANP. I really don't see the value of it for 2 ap damage.. I would rather have doublestrike.. Also.. Just from a personal preference I would never use Artemis 4.. Giving an opponent 21 points by rolling 1 bad die roll.. I couldn't do it.. I wouldn't ever use it! I like doublestrike much better... My son and I are talking about trying it out during the Scenario this month... Do you really think that the ANP has been worth the points?
also battleplanner has the army down by 5 points.. Did I not get something right?
