hmm all i can say is crazy butt sex, when playing at the sealed 10k in kansas I found that most of the players at the top tables had unwishing well and the spawn phase lure piece in their warbands, it almost seemed that most players who got a well opened the lure piece as well. I opened a fairly average pool, and was only able to go 5-3 with it getting me 16th ($250). 2 of my losses were to well builds and I couldn't do much about how the spawn phases went, and my third loss was to a few bad play errors.

Not only is it too powerful, it extends the length of the spawn phases WAAY more than kitsune ever did.

The fact that you can spawn it in a cell, it triggers when your opponent starts and its a free kill for you is insane. Dropping it in the 2 or your opponents 4 is insane.
Next banned piece?

Personally, I don't see how it makes spawn phases longer as it does make turns longer to go around the well and opponents using pieces to push it into the well for the next phase. The thing that really makes it bad is when your opponent drops it on you. Its really hard to take out with Soulwash as you lose your piece to the well. I think Arsonist and Grenadier are better to deal with this piece. I may be splashing Madness into my bands for Arsonist from now on if the Unwishing Well sticks around.

I don't like arsonist as an answer to the well. I wouldn't want more wells in reserve. If anything, that protects your opponent from having the wells used against him. Grenadier is a good thought. A little weak for a warm body, but it costs less than the well and will take the well with it when it goes. I like it!
As for length, there is a lot of thinking about what to spawn, how to lure/expel/scare to get the maximum effect.

yeah now that I think about it arsonist is pretty bad to the well, forgot what he does Looks like I'll be splashing passion then for the well. March him in and blow it up.

don't forget about good old sludger, although he can be moved away from the well, he at least makes things fair

Who wants things to be fair, 5 costs alot less than 8. Plus if they move the grenadier away with their pieces that using their resources to save the well, the Sludger can be moved and then a piece can be lost. Grenadier > or = Sludger in my thinking for these purposes.

It might be worth having grenadier in a corpsebuild / appease band. If you need him, you use him, if not, throw him away to pump stuff.
