I have been struggling to put an all merc/GS army together for Mercenary faction pride and 450.
My issue is I just can't the right support and I think I only have 1 WH R10! I keep thinking I like the Merc Kelswa over the WH one. The two targets just means a lot to me!
Last time I tried this I ended up using Liao long toms and paying big costs for Merc FP. The Merc Paladins just aren't good enough in my opinion and there aren't any merc TTLs/Centaurs.
My only other time I played Merc Faction pride was the Twins and Phelan. THat was just wrong!

Only version I can think of is
Jack and either a WH R10 TD with a WH Kelswa or Merc Kelswa.
2 drops is probaly a bit much. But what i truly dont like is the lack of good inf. support.
There is no arty in Merc or other form I would use.
Good puzzeling.

Jack is a real squeeze in 450, but a Kelswa drop is an excellent back up. I also like the idea of Jack with a WH Mjolnir or Bolt + Millhew.
By going down the Merc/WH road, I think we all agree that we can rule out arty and, of course, we loose ATV support and other useful pieces like Sylphs and Combat Techs.
I did come up with this as a Merc/WH variant:
WH Mjolnir+Millhew+IT WH R10 WH Kelswa Merc Cardinal 2 x Merc Sniper Teams 4 x WH CBA Merc FP
The drops aren't order friendly, unless you keep the R10 primed on Recon - the CBA can ride along in formation to keep the R10 company. The CBA are there for a capture team - once they're on their sweet spot, they scoot along quite nicely.
The Snipers compliment the Kelswa's range and it works out that both parties can reach out to around 21 inches (I used the Cardinal as you said you were tight on R10s!).
The army is also awash with blue and black armour, so the TTL threat is reduced.

I probably could find another R10. I am not in love with the Cardinal It would be nice to have a command roll but that would be difficult to work in... Oh for a Merc 12pt command unit. Another R10 would make this army tons better. I will have to purchase or trade for one It looks interesting enough to try. or be even more crazy and open some of the Domination boosters I picked up and haven't opened.

Got to agree there. I'm really not sure that the benefits of Merc FP are outweighed by the lack of choice (in critical areas). you can use the Merc/WH units to form the core of a decent army, but that may be to no avail if you can't use ATVs, Sylphs and arty to control the battle.
Actually, a lack of good support and an inability to influence your opponent/make him dance to your tune will probably mean that he is dong that to you and you're reacting to his POGs/basers etc - not good.

I played it the other day in the scenario with Liao Long toms and a SH TTL and all the good stuff just payed the higher costs. If it didn't subtract from VC2 I would have it in every army. It does hurt some being down so many points in the start.
It still is interesting to play with!
