I can imagine we're all busy soring out and tweaking our armies for our respective Nats. I was just wondering when each of our countries actually plays - there seems to be quite a spread.
By way of starting a Roll of Honour, I thought I'd try and put down when some of these events are taking (or have taken) place:
US Nats 29 June - 2 July Canadian Nats 20-21 May Dutch Nats French Nats 20-21 May - Heavygear (3rd) + 2nd place UK + Eire Nats 4 June German Nats 9-11 June Italian Nats Japanese Nats Euro Champs 22-23 April - Elite 130 and Brinxter
Hope you are all keeping busy. I can't believe that they've pulled the Realms unit database - my Battleplanner inventory is soooo out of date!!

Dutch Nationals 18th June. No MW realms unit database i am doomed ...... I was planning on running something outrageous silly. 3 green rokurobis or such. But I am helping 3 people with serious armies I havent thought much about what I will play. I have a lot of problem with those Canadian armies. I can not figure them out. I admit i know Marc's Alpha one.

I am on vacation. I am goign to have some interesting ames. I could only bring a few pieces and I had my son pack them. They are all unrestricted and now I am hearing what they are.. One of the events is 900 pt game unrestricted. One of the other is Drop ship battle. There are a couple of other unrestricted events. I didn't bring enough pieces for all this. i guess it will be some interesting games for me. I will be playing with limited pieces a different feeling for me

It has definitely gone a bit quiet. For my part that's because this time of year (end of the school year) is extremely busy at work. I'm done June 15 and will be fairly out of it until then, unfortunately. I was looking at the Canadian Nats armies this morning and came across this one: odses.info/files/cangames/x_warlord_17.pdfAnyone understand it? Anyone understand how it made top 16? I'm surprised that there wasn't a twins army attempted. My gut tells me that they are still viable in 600 even with the nerf. I am also surprised there was only 1 MFP army in the top 16 and very, very little true grit played.

Rememeber they had to play a 450 tournement first.
with those results they played a 600 one.
I got the feeling none of them where realy prepared to play a 600 tournement after the 450 event.

Maybe, but even so, that army has no primary hammer. I just can't figure it out. Even if they took their 450 constructed army and added 150 points, this one makes very little sense. It doesn't work in 450 and doesn't work in 600. It isn't even low level competitive.
I mean, come on... 12 ROTS Centaur Battle Armor? 5 JF Gnome? 9 ROTS ATVs? 4 JF Elementals? 2 DF Angerona (which can't work with ANYTHING else)? 1 JF CBA.
Wierd!
Also -- Looking at the DF/SC army -- If the list is correct, it isn't even a valid army!

Well there was a "hot drop" scenario where you could place figures randomly on the board.
Maybe it worked well there?
I mean someone places a mech, you "base it" with 5-6 infantry and go capture crazy?

That army is kinda weird ain't it?
I've been busy with my new found free time with College out for the summer. Sleep and no-stress days are something I haven't felt in many a year now. I love summer time!

I'm off on holiday on Sunday and then its straight to the Nationals. Tom and I are packing our armies (plus some other builds that we need to practice against like tank drop and Shiros). I know the guys down the Club are praticing like mad, but I'm not too sure I'd be showing off my Nats army to some of my biggest rivals. I am getting spooked by the fact that one of them is testing a Phelan Ward?
I'm taking my digital recorder with me to the Nats to try and get some interviews and news for the Podcast.

That sounds good. Phelan ward is very much a luck piece. I am not a lucky roller. I would only play him in the direst of circumstances. (such as lots of Solitudes) Good luck we are all pulling for you here.

Thanks for keeping this update list. We should probably include Worlds and Worlds Fellowship in the list too.

Does anyone know when the Japanese Nats and Italian Nats are? I was wondering if the same Japanese players would be returning.
