Uhoh.. Brixnter with TJP's pieces Brinxter if you need to use any pieces let me know I have more than my fair share Don't worry, they're all faction pure - I'll make a Scrub out of him yet... I think 3 Danai Support Vehicles is a bit over the top though

Yohoho an Anglo-Dutch Army.... It was a pretty effective combo back in 1815 - lets hope Brinxter goes up against the French.. What do you think the chances are of WK giving you each an Ares and adding that to your 300 points..? Would probably make for a 900 point build.

I think 0 %, I have no clue what they will do but Aresses I doubt it very much. Brinxter is I belief preying for it.

no.. they will probably give us 2 JF Thors.. I watched someone play one against me in a Call to arms yesterday. I thought I had got horrible pieces ( osiris and anubis) That thor is not really impressive.
Blech.. I hope not Ares. Maybe I will change my mind but they are so ANTI-BATTLETECH they make my head hurt!
I know what we should do. We should pick 1 persons 300 pt armies and everybody has to play an army like that. I say we choose elite's!

Its the "2 Round" thing that gets me. Is the Event pushed for time - 3 days rather than 4? I know that the secret round is pretty unique to the Worlds and is a great part of the event, but is 2 rounds actually worth it? There are going to be some pretty close pairings for the second round. I take it the options for PCCs and Missions are:
1 PCC and 1 Blank. 1 PCC and 1 Mission.
So that's PD and Split Up then?
If the Ares thing looks dicey, I rekon that fitting out your 300 pointers with pieces that can get you VC3 will be important. Apart from that, I would say that only Mechs will give you the wherewithall to react/adapt to the secret format.
I just hope I can get a quid (sorry, pound) for every BR Soli that gets played over the 3 days. Once again, they look a pretty decent choice - that an a RHDM.

Everyone playing my 300 points, that would be interesting. My 300 points is geared towards well me.....
something I master and I doubt others master.
I dont know we have to see what comes our way.
I have enjoyed SSF since the first ineption, we all got the same crap built armies with that.
the 2nd one was almost built for me. This is an army bid down and construct something to defeat it. i brought to much......
Great fun.
The 2 rounds is yes a function of time. But that extra day off i dont mind allows me to explore the Con for the first time as I have not seen much of it.
I agree on the PCC's for it will be PD and Split up.
So gthey al get 1 chance to surprise me with the weather.....

Here's another mission for those going to Gencon.
At the UK Nats, we were given a hint that Solaris would be coming out next year as a stand-alone product.
Maybe this is why all we know about is WS and Gunslingers - perahaps Solaris is the next release (but not as we know it).
So, maybe there's some info on Solaris and the future of MW CMG to be had over those 4 days...

That is what I was thinking.. with only two rounds.. why bother? Most people will be playing PD (thereby nullifying PC's) and a good Mission card like split up.
You have VERY LITTLE choice about what PC's and Mission cards to bring.. We don't know what we will be playing. It makes choosing the PC very difficult! Same with Mission card.

Yeah, allowing PCCs/Missions for the SSF doesn't make much sense at all. Then again, doing a SSF when it only gets TWO ROUNDS of play doesn't seem to make much sense either.
I have ideas about what's gonna happen, but I have absolutely NO idea about what my 300-pt armies are gonna be.
