Nice army! Loads of firepower and a good amount of options. It has the range to deal with arty well!

Another new army, the old one slightly modified so it has a bit more flexibility/output of damage. Judge if you will; Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Nova Cat(CNC) w/Steve F. 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shishelki w/Armor Piercing Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Bishop Transport VTOL(CNC)(CArrying TBAs) Infantry[/u] 3 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor 2 "Veteran" Scout ATV(CNC) Faction Pride/Situational Alliance[/u] None Total:600pts Planetaries[/u] Ice Field Every round(According to the storyline rules) Strategy:[/u]Quite similar to before, with lots of water used to clear the field at the beginning, the only real difference is to use the ATVs to hide behind any blocking my opponent puts down, and tye up things after the TBAs/Mechs have landed off a shot. While this army is a bit more order-intensive, I think it shall work well. Now as long as Zxqueb remembers to bring those two TBA "elites"... .

Wow! a 2000 pt game.. That changes everything I think the largest I have ever played has been 900+the contents of 1 booster. I am not sure I can even comment on how this would play in 2000 pt game. How many orders are you getting for each side? I have noticed in big games the person who takes the first shot sometimes really overwhelms. (with 13 orders if you play 1 per 150) that is a little overwhelming.

I've played in a 2000 point tournament game. It was TERRIBLE, especially since it was timed (an hour and a half). Basically it came down to staying out of range for 1 hour and 20 minutes and throwing everything you had at a single unit and killing it. I imagine it would be fine with no time limit.

With no time limit the game would probably go on for a LONG LONG time. I know I would be concerned about committing myself.. 13 orders against you would be crazy.

Oh, I have played several large point games. You really do not notice the time go by, though they do last long. I recently played a 3000/3000 vs. 6000 battle, very fun to note. The big advantage of a big point battle is all the things you cannot do in small point battles you can do there. Rarely can you take two Heavies into a 450, but in 2000? Sure, why not have several? It makes the game very fun, and despite having an opponent using 13 orders a turn against you, the person to get the shots in rarely determines the winner, because in such a big point battle game, all he does is scrap a couple mech,s you always have more to spare(Not to mention infantry and support vehicles) .

It seems like there would be less tactics and more just bashing (which can be fun) but I think it would get overwhelming soon! We played one game with 900 per side with 5 people.

Alright, new 900pt army. Planning on taking this tomorrow against a friend(If I have the time to spare).
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Nova Cat(CNC) w/Steven P. Frohener w/Decoy 1 "Kaminari" Shiro w/Moriko Horiama 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shishelki w/Electronic Camouflage Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Bishop Transport VTOL(CNC) Infantry[/u] 1 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor 2 "Veteran" Thunderbird Battle Armor(CNC) 1 "Veteran" Raiden Battle Armor(HK) Planetaries[/u] Polar Gale Barrens Mission Card Flush 'em out Faction Pride/Situational Alliance[/b] None Total:900pts
The mission card with Barrens is an instant VC point, as there is no hindering to be occuping, and Polar Gales will help this armys' smallness, with allowing the mechs to push more, as they can vent back farther. The infantry drop with Pulse is there to soften up things for the mehcs, or tye up enemy infantry. And the Raiden is there... for filler.

In the new tournament rules it is either PC or Mission card. I assume this is a friendly at home game?

Also, Zxqueb, will you be at GameWizards tomorrow, or have you sedated your hunger for prizes with your case ?

I will be at game wizards today. My hunger for prizes may have waned, but my hunger for ranking continues unchecked.

My hunger has been somewhat abated.. My headgasket died on my car ... Now I am spending time looking for a new Car! All I can say is Good Luck this evening. I know you will pull better than I have for Annihilation.. In a draft event.. I still managed to get 3 light mechs

Hmmm, went 0-3 tonight, a little disappointed, but I got Kisho(And his Wendig), DeJesus, and Lex Corpus(With his Neanderthal), not to mention a couple good gears. Still need one more "Elite" TBA, but I did get another "Veteran" Bishop for CNC, just need to get Zxqueb his Scout ATV next week. Need to design some 1000pt CNC/SC armies...
