Of course, if you are using TSEMP, you had better have a followup shot. Otherwise, it's pretty pointless. I have a pretty decent army that relies on TSEMP for the next MW: army on the main site. Hopefully I'll have a few minutes to put that up tonight!

Even if you have a follow up shot sometimes letting them get rid of the token is not that best of ideas unless your follow up shot is IMPRESSIVE!

Or a capture team...
Those new CBA that move 12 or the new Kurita Thunderbird BA - moves 12 with JJs AND attacks at 6IT...(and it has pulse and hvy armour!)
I'm going to take a look at the problems of coordinating a Tsemp with a capture.
Don't forget that, in the right circumstances, Tsemp is another way of pushing vehicles and inf by giving them a token.

TSEMP and Capture is difficult. You can't deploy into base contact .. That makes it much more challenging!

I just got whooped by Tom (I played CNC Nova Cat + TTLs, he played Davion Loki + TGR Drop and faction pride.). Three shots against the Davion Loki were all defeated by Decoy!! I did make a game of it by standing and fighting - I was up and would have run away if it were a tourney. That Loki hitting for 7 really hurts!! I did use Tsemp on the Nova Cat to shoot at his ATVs. One hit for all 3 from energy, plus a token - it does improve (slightly) the Nova Cat's effect on infantry. I take your point about capture - you would have to have a relentless Tsemp barage to keep the mech shut down (and porbably use a Sylph to grapple it at the same time). A little too elaborate perhaps!!

Doh!! I guess it was only a fringe benefit in any case!!

I am not truly impressed by TSEMP. The usefullness is marginal unless you are playing a BIG point game and lots of units get to stomp the unit that that you shut down!

Alright, have about four armies to post here that I have designed and such. Two play-tested and appear very well, two which are brand new, and shall require play-testing shortly.
CNC/SC 600pts[/u]
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran Nova Cat (CNC) w/Alberto DeJesus w/Cameoflauge 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shishelki Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Bishop Transport VTOL 1 Saxon APC Infantry[/u] 3 "Elite" Thunderbird Battle Armor (In Bishop) 1 PAL Suit (In Saxon) Points:600pts
The main idea is to use the Wendigo to hit on anything that is a heavy or assault first, and try to open it up a little, before the Nova Cat takes a shot, and followed up by the TBAs. The Saxon and PAL are designed mostly to just go for VC3, although for me it depends on how my opponent plays. They are therefore a bit more of a wild card.
PCs:Perfect Day, Ice Field
SW/CIE 600pts
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Alpha" Mangonel w/Alberto DeJesus w/Reactive Armor 1 "Vengeance" Solitaire w/Phelan Ward w/Evade Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 J-37 Ordinance Transport Infantry[/u] 1 "Tora's Zephyr" Hoverbike Squad 1 "Tora's Unruly Mob" Peasant Company 1 "Tora's Claw" Gnome Battle Armor (In J-37) 2 Fenrir Battle Armor (In J-37) 3 Undine Battle Armor (Formation) Total:600pts
The idea here is to use Phelan's Zellbriggen to tie up immediately the biggest threat, and mop up the rest of his forces with the other units. With an infantry drop of sorts and "Alpha' at 12 atk 16" range, that should not be "too" difficult. The Zephyr is mostly a sideline unit, for VC3, while the Unruly Mob is more of just point filler. Both though can act as wild cards according to my opponent.
PCs:Active Volcanoes, Solar Flare
HK/DF 600pts[/u]
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Kaminari" Shiro w/Moriko Horiama Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Maxim MK2 Transport 1 DI Schmitt (In Maxim) 1 R10 Mechanized ICV Infantry[/u] 3 "Veteran" Oni Battle Armor (HK)(In R10) 4 Purifier Battle Armor 1 Kanazuchi Battle Armor Points:600pts
The Shiro is of course the heavy hitter, but the two transports should be kept close by, so that after she attacks, if it is possible, one or the other can be dropped to shoot again. The Kanazuchi is mostly point filler at this point, but if a better idea comes to me (Perhaps 2 Gun nest), it will remain as a potential wild card for the army, moving when I do not want to move a transport and not be able to shoot the next turn.
PCs:Ice Fields, Barrens
And finally...
450pts[/u]
Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Veteran" Nova Cat (CNC) w/Alberto DeJesus Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Maxim MK2 Transport (DF) 1 DI Schmitt (In Maxim)(DF) Infantry[/u] 1 "The Scorchers" Clan Battle Armor 1 "Shadow Stalkers" Purifier Battle Armor 1 "Elite" CLan Battle Armor (SC) 1 Scout ATV (CNC) Total:450pts
This is the army I used yesterday to win the unrestricted tourney at my local gaming club. Thee Nova Cat will usually follow up from the Schmitt drop, and basically the infantry stay close to the transport to protect it and the Schmitt. The ATV goes fast for the DZ of the opponent.
PCs:Tornado, Perfect Day

Do not believe I posted any 900pt armies here yet, here goes....
CNC 900pt army[/u] 2 :Veteran: Nova Cat (1)w/ Alberto DeJesus |w/ (2)w/Sebastian Paschke |w/Command 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigo w/Arzu Shishelki |w/ Vehicle(s)[/u] 2 :Veteran: Bishop Transport VTOL Infantry[/u] 3 :Elite: Thunderbird Battle Armor 3 :Veteran: Thunderbird Battle Armor Total:900pts
HK/DF 900pts[/u] 1 "Kaminari" Shiro w/Moriko Horiama |w/Rapid Strike 1 "Yami" Shiro w/Kenshin Tadashi |w/Decoy Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 Maxim MK2 Transport 1 DI Schmitt (In Maxim) 1 R10 Mechanized ICV Infantry[/u] 3 Oni Battle Armor Faction Pride[/u] House Kurita Faction Pride Total:897pts
Yes yes, I know about the HK FP not being as it should. However, in my small friend group we sort of ignore the requirement of only one faction for House armies with FPs in them. And while this army is slightly off (by 33pts at the beginning of a game), I hope to off-balance this by killing a few things quickly and such, thanks to twin Shiros.

New army times. The first is the most important by far, as it will be for all constructed games until I can find a new fit. Mech(s)[/u] 1 "Rising Sun" Wendigow/Arzu Shishelki | w/CASE Vehicle(s)[/u] 1 :^^: Maxim MK2 Transport (DF) 1 :^^: Bishop Transport VTOL (CNC) 1 :^^^: DI Schmitt (DF)(In Maxim) Infantry[/u] 3 :^: Clan Battle Armor (CNC)(In Bishop) Total:450pts PCs:Perfect Day, I like the idea of it, the main firepower comes from the Schmitt, although in idea the Wendigo strikes first, opening up the target (Since she has 2 more attack in her value), then followed by the Schmitt. With a 13 attack, it should not be too hard to do against fatties. I suppose my biggest fear may be lots of light mechs and such, although one good 4-5 clicks on them should put one out of serious combat. The Clan BA are mostly there to ruin someone's day, or tie up opposing infantry that I may need to do such to. Opinions?

I'm not that sold on the Wendigo, taking away its pilot may give it better stats but the anticipate ability can be very useful.
Can you squeeze in Jack and Julz? - the D1 Schmitt will realy benefit from being able to shoot through blocking.

Anticipate? The ability of my Wendigo's pilot is "Fearless", a +1 against all Heavies, Assaults, or vehicles above 70pts. are you thinking of "Nebula" perhaps? And no, I cannot since I do not own either of those. But thank you for the suggestion.
